Hello all,
I am currently working on a business entrepreneurship project at CSUF dealing with boat cleaning products. I am looking to gather some information on boat cleaners currently on the market.

What cleaners (not necessarily waxes) do you use?
How would you rate your current cleaner?
How did you find your cleaner, and where do you usually buy it?
What do you normally pay for a bottle of the cleaner?
What frustrations do you have with boat cleaners? (price, effectiveness, etc.)
What would your ideal product do for you?

Thank you for all help on this subject!

The market is SATURATED.. We need another spray wax product for boats like a hole in the head.. Seems like a new one comes out every year or so..

A hull cleaner I use when the boat gets really dirty and stained from being in the water a couple weeks is Attwood's Hull Cleaner. It's main ingredient is Oxalic Acid which you will find in house hold cleaners like Bar Keepers Friend.

I would rate it a 10 if it didn't smell so toxic. So I would give it a 9.
I found it at Walmart and that's where I buy it.
It is about $10 for a 32 oz bottle.
I really don't have any frustrations except the toxic smell.
For tough stains something like this is ideal, but would be a lot better if it wasn't so toxic.

BTW...you can use Bar Keepers Friend (it smells better too) on Fiberglass and it will clean this mess up pretty good but you have to scrub a little bit compared to the Attwood Hull Cleaner.

How long are you leaving your boat in the water for that to happen?

A little over two weeks. Our marina got hit pretty bad from the flood channel when it rained a couple months ago. It put a lot of silt and minerals from our beach into our marina so it's a lot worse in than it usually is in the picture.

Where is that? What marina?

On a side note do you still have Greg's old Spectra? What is the latest with that?

I put up a thread a couple years ago on here when I bought the place back in 2011. The place is called Laguna Nueva and it is in Bullhead City about a 5 minute boat ride down river from the Laughlin Casinos.

Yes, I still have the Spectra. I just have a couple more things to finish up on it and I will put up a thread about it. I had the boat at Havasu a couple months ago.

Fellow Titan :)

I'll play:

What cleaners (not necessarily waxes) do you use?

Boat Bling Products

How would you rate your current cleaner?

Like 'em

How did you find your cleaner, and where do you usually buy it?

Member here on the boards... saucedaddy.

What do you normally pay for a bottle of the cleaner?

Bought a box of product some years ago... $150 maybe.

What frustrations do you have with boat cleaners? (price, effectiveness, etc.)

More frustrated at how my white vinyl seems to get dirty too quickly

What would your ideal product do for you?

BB is works well when you stay up on the routine cleaning.
