Enduro 10/24 - 10/26 Are closing down the river?

I heard the river is going to be closed from Blue Water to Pirates Cove during the Enduro race Fri 10/24 - Sun 10/26?

Is this true?

If the river is closed, how do I get my boat on the water? My house is in the Keys.

Sorry folks, river is closed during the enduro,
Takes about 4 hours.

Approx what time do you they let other boats back on? How far up river is it closed? From Blue Water to what area? Thanks.

Not sure I follow. I have a house in the Keys and just need to know if I will have access in and out.

What time will the river close?

What time will the river open back up?

How far up river does the race go.

Should I launch my boat near damn and just hang there for a few hours.

Sorry to be so specific, but I have a bunch of people coming out that weekend.

The river will be closed from Pirates down to Bluewater during the race hours it's usually a better part of the day.

Not sure what the program is this year but I can comment on last year.

On Friday, the river was closed from Pirates to the blue water for a couple hours in the afternoon during qualifying.

On Saturday, the river was closed from Pirates to blue water during the entire race from about 8:30 until about 1:30.

On Sunday it was wide open.

So assuming no move of the race from saturday to sunday due to weather, that is what one might expect the schedule to be.

Last year there were smaller races by the Casino after the enduro but that only closed access to the blue water.

I shot Scott Schatz (the race director) a text for the exact times the river will be closed this year. For right now the best I could tell you is mid morning to afternoon both days.. I will get exact times ASAP.

Actual times on the permit are Noon to Five on Friday. 8:00 am to 6 PM Saturday / Sunday optional if the race gets blown out on Saturday. The odds are the race will end 2-3 pm on Saturday and we will open the river back up earlier then the permit allows.

After about an hour its"so what do you want to do now?"

So just to clarify what time would be my latest time to launch my boat at the blue water marina? I keep my trailer there year round and we are going this weekend. If I'm at the launch ramp at 8am will I be good to go and get up river? I don't want to be that douch at the ramp being last minuite.

On Friday you would be good till around 10. Returning around 5.

On Saturday you would be good till about 9 returning whenever the race is over.. Should be by 4'ish..
