Anybody have a manual that shows how to rebuild the pump itself. Not the motor that drives it. I got one that makes pressure but won't hold it. Thought it was the ram at first. Rebuilt that and it's doing the same thing still

If you're positive that both trim cylinders are rebuilt properly and will hold pressure, the problem is the valve body in the pump. Unfortunately those valve bodies and parts for that pump aren't available any more. They're pretty simple and you might be able to take it apart and clean the pressure valves. With luck that may work. Be careful, the o-ring between the valve body and reservoir are also not available any more.

If not, the only option Mercruiser offers is a kit that upgrades to the Oildyne pump.
