Anyone see it? Coming in or out of town? What's the deal? It was on a large flat bed with security around it. Also was wrapped.

It's a Raptor F-22 looked like Blue Angels color on the bottom. I am curious too!

I saw it parked there yesterday. Not sure what it's doing.

They are stationed in Nellis but the Blue Angels winter home is in El Centro if that helps.

We saw the plane while coming into town yesterday. Not sure what model it is but with the four vertical tail pieces, it looked more lied a RV glider than a jet.
(This will show what lil I know about planes). Lol

Maybe that was like a military AAA. Maybe it had engine trouble or ran out of gas and or just crapped out - maybe it was buy-back or lemon lawed.
They have to get those things back to the garage somehow

pretty sure that since the blue angels are navy, they are out of pensacola, fl. :D But they do winter in El Centro, but no until the airshow season is over.

I would imagine the airframe is going to be a "gate guard" somewhere, mounted on a pole from what has been described.

Blue Angels still use F-18s. Probably right about a display some place. Hope its just a early test model. Pretty new airframe for retirement :(

Yesterday I heard a fighter jet over by the airport making all kinds of noise but did not see it in the air.

could you tell if it was a complete aircraft. we ship the aft section with verticals installed to St. Louis each week. they normally go out the 10 though.

You would think there would be more security around it.

I think the plane shown is an F-35 but hard to tell for sure being covered. The F-35 is smaller than the F-22. I saw the F-35 down in Mira Mar a couple weeks ago...

Common everyday thing here at EAB. Some days the sonic booms are insane.

I agree I was incorrect on the f-22. 75 mph glance and I did not catch the short fuselage. Not a huge fan of that stubby look.

Seen it coming into town yesterday. Tried to get a pic but the wife was to slow with the camera at 75MPH. Looked awesome sitting on the side of the road. Could you imaging passing this thing going down the 40 it's got to take both lanes up.

Saw it headed to Nellis AFB at about 2 am yesterday morning. It looked like a UFO under the tarp. The bottom of the plane as definitely blue. Curious as to why it didn't fly into Vegas....
