Man what a pain it is to get all the adhesive off. My tools of choice are a plastic putty knife (sharpened), goop-off and a makita heat gun. Still a pain! Truck looks way better though....those damn body color mouldings were getting...well....MOLDY. Why they cant get that right is beyond me. Yea yea.....insert recall joke here

This is what I do every time I debadge one of my trucks.

Heat gun on the molding/emblems.

Fishing line to slice them off.

Goo-gone to soften up the adhesive a bit more.

Eraser wheel made by 3M to get the adhesive off.

Goo-gone to get the rest of the leftover adhesive off.

Clay bar to get rid of all the rest of the stuff that may be leftover.

Wash and wax. Open a beer.

Once, and only once, did I use my thumbs to try and rub the adhesive off. I learned my lesson then.

Trust me, use the eraser wheel ... it makes things soooo much easier. :thumbsup

Worth the $200 I was quoted/ Figured it could not be that bad,I was wrong. After a few hours went by shop and had them use a a 3m eraser wheel and some buffing to make it right.

When I was in high school I took the moldings off the side of my Tahoe and used a blow dryer since my dad didnt have a heat gun. Got the adhesive off by using my thumbs............the blisters were worth it because it looked way better afterwards.

This is exactly what a I used after trying everything else..........worked GREAT

Yup...
I did our Tahoe about 5 years ago with fishing line, plastic scraper, goof off, and about 5 hours of hard work.
I used the 3M adhesive remover wheel a couple months ago on the next Tahoe, and I'll be damned I was done in less than 45 minutes...Works as well as everyone says.
