The biggest question that I have been asked over and over again is "Where are the GN's?"
I am happy to announce that I am meeting with the GN Commissioners to try and modify the rules so that they will come back in 2015.
The Second biggest question is "How can we up the boat count?"
By bringing back the GN's this will also bring back the traditional "Comp Jet" class that comes with them.
As a second bonus, I have already reached out to the NWSRA (Water Ski Racing) to ask if we could put on a side event during the same weekend. If I can work it out with the NWSRA, this should up our Ski Race Outboard class by quite a few boats, and our Division 7 class will have more then one boat in it. If I can put together those two programs, I think you will see a boat count that hasn't been seen in the Parker Enduro in over a decade.
In other announcements, I am putting together a rules committee as we speak, and will try to have it in place in the next 3 weeks. I hope to have the rules adjusted in December and submitted to the APBA in January for approval.
On a side note, I want to thank Scott Schatz for doing a phenomenal job in both 2013, and 2014! Given the amount that he had on his plate, I think he did a better job then most anyone I could think of. I will be actively looking for a new Race Director in 2015, and will keep you posted when I get that wrapped up! I hope that Scott returns to the Enduro in 2015 in a less stressful capacity.
The last announcement is we will be moving the date of the 336 Parker Enduro forward a little bit. The Cage Rage at the Casino is filling up the hotel on single night rooms, which forced me to put 3/4 of the staff and a lot of racers in different locations then the Bluewater itself. I'm hoping to have the new date picked out today.
