Dave if you dont quit posting these wood deck boats I my have to sell a car or two sooner than later to fulfill my dream of one day owning one.

These last two that you put up are really cool !

The boat is a '55 Mandella. I understand that it will have a 325 Oldsmobile with three 2's for power.

A photo of what the engine might look like.

I found this Joe Mandella wood flat bottom v-drive boat in 1999. I have replaced the entire bottom and deck. The engine is as original, 324" 1956 Oldsmobile with an Edelbrock manifold with 3 97s. and flame arrestors. The 4 shaft v-drive was built by the boat owner, Rozzie Barton, builder of the Marbet hydraulilc foot throttles. The hardware used is original, restored or duplicated. I have added a i-o unit to the rear motor plate, as the boat was built with no neutral. The engine was removed for paint. The new fuel tanks are built. The upholstery is almost finished. I picked the boat up thiss week after Schiada Boats painted it. I am installing the hardware and engine.
