My wife just came in and told me this is all over the news now.

Actor Harrison Ford was injured Thursday when a vintage World War II training plane he was piloting crash landed on a Mar Vista, California, golf course.
The actor, who was conscious and breathing when rescue crews reached him, was stabilized and taken to a hospital, where he was in fair to moderate condition, authorities said. Sources said he sustained cuts to his head. There was no word on other injuries or what caused the plane to crash about 2:20 p.m. (5:20 p.m. ET). It appeared he was flying solo.
"We are very thankful that the passenger had [only] very moderate injuries," Los Angeles Assistant Fire Chief Patrick Butler said. Mike Bonin, a Los Angeles City Council member who has lobbied to close the airport as being inadequate, agreed, telling NBC Los Angeles: "Thank God that this incident happened on a golf course where there is a relatively open space."
Howard Tabe, an employee at Penmar Golf Course, said, "There was blood all over his face. ... Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him. I helped put a blanket under his hip."
The plane crashed on the eighth tee at the golf course just west of the airport shortly after takeoff from the Santa Monica Airport, according to Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration, NBC Los Angeles reported.
An avid flyer of both planes and helicopters, Ford was in a bad crash of a Bell chopper in 1999 Santa Clara, California. In 2008, he told National Geographic, "Well, there was a mechanical failure while we were practicing power recovery autorotations. It was more or less a hard landing. Luckily, I was with another aviation professional and neither of us was hurt ? and both of us are still flying."

He seems accident prone. He was hurt filming the new Star Wars, has had other plane and helicopter accidents. Maybe he should slow down in his Golden Years

We all going to die someday you bunch of pansies.

Die with your boots on.

Not money, not power, not fame, will save any of us.

Yea, he almost died doing what he loved to do. Apparently he loves crashing a plane LOL[emoji1]

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing ....

...and a perfect landing is any landing you can still use the aircraft.

Does "walking away" cover a ride on a stretcher?

Two blocks from my house, saw him flying that plane all the time, one of the last few war birds leaving Santa Monica Airport. Used to see 15 - 20 a week.

He could've walked , he's an actor , he was being dramatic

Just trying to show Stallone how tough he is, wants another shot at Expendables 4.:D

Heard he was operated on today to fix a couple of broken bones but he will be ok,

Still, he had to have had some good piloting skills to land like he did with engine failure. But more importantly not to have dropped on any of those houses around the course, it could have been much worse.:thumbsup

Sounds like he held it in the air with the stick and just dropped it past the trees.

I agree, he probably held it long enough to take most of the forward action out of the plane then dumped it . Like l said, good skills were in play.
