Carb ?

Hey y'all
I need a carb for my boat. So can I just go down to pep boys or some auto parts buy a carb hook up fuel line and I'm good to go or ?
I'm running stock 454 and so a 750 cfm would be good or?

Maybe. Or you can get a marine carb. Which 454 do you have? I have Merc 454MAG and this is my carb:

When I had a 454mag I changed my factory carb to an 800 double pumper marine, worked great.

Jegs sells a reman 1410 750 cfm carb for about $350

Merc uses a Weber NOT an E-Brock. I picked mine up brand new take off for a hundred bucks from ebay. it has been flawless for 10+ years other than re-jetting to my satisfaction. I pulled the top last year to make sure the bowls were clean and they were but I take good care of my fuel system during storage.
