Bring a contact sheet and we'll have forms as well ... no promises, make your case ...

Just busting your balls,Vic.
What position are you looking at?
You never know, maybe you can do something. You wouldn't be the first to have a "real job" and do boats as a side gig.

You have a background in construction, you know how the end of a saw blade works. You might fit in well with Jose I the wood shop.Cutting transom, stringers, bulkheads, etc, mostly from patterns with a bit of custom cut for just right fit.Probably extend into interior fab too.
If you're more mechanically inclined then jump into the rigging line or service dept.

He's lost without a chop saw and tin snips. They don't teach wood work at his local. [emoji12]

In all seriousness, I'd be in to help with rigging if the shop wasn't so far from my house.

If only I wasn't so old. I love boats, I own an Eliminator and I live less than 2 miles away. I'm just too old to go work a fun job after I get home from the real one.

Wow. Just noticed this thread!

I have strongly been considering signing up for machinist classes at my local CC, as a means to get my head out of my current profession a few days a week and do something I have a passion for. I worked at IMCO when I was in college and had a lot of fun working there.

I actually have a written list at home of fab shops and engine builders I was planing to visit in person to talk about a internship.

I'm very interested. If there is still an opening, I'll be there this weekend.

Eddie and others, please do come by on the week-ends, especially Saturday. Open 9a 5p and we do lunch noon-2p.
Stuff / Snacks for the kids too.

We have big plans to go from 25-30 boats a year to over 100 annually. That's going to need infrastructure.
If you have the passion, the training part is easy. Expect long days, hot (no A/C) conditions, lots of dust and fiberglass...pure heaven. :D
