I went to the shop today and Revolution 4 is lasered on the outside of the hub as well as this number 48-857028A46-21P. A portion of that number is also cast inside the hub. Thanks to this thread, I pretty much already knew it was a Rev 4 walking up to the boat, the lack of diffuser stands out like a sore thumb now.

Ok so I'm spinning a bravo 1 24p today I hit 4880 rpms and 68-69 on speedo. I really want to try the labbed 24 NicPaus has. Jeff got a few more mph and hit the limiter w his labbed prop during a lake test.

I got up the rpms a little higher but lost speed. I guess I was spinning?

Where was your trim at? If down don't think it would blow out. I brought that 24 home with me. Suppose to run out to Ontario one of these days to my buddies house. I also just picked up a Rev 4 25 to try.

The limiter is set at 3/4 I get my best performance there. Around 4700 4800 rpms and 68 on the speedo. Going up any higher rpms went up speed went down

If you're at 3/4 trim you need more bow lift to get your trim down closer to neutral which will gain you more speed. You're best bet it to have either you're existing 24p or buy a stock 24p and have it labbed to your boat.

We should set a date in Parker for some prop testing and how to change a prop. The 23 Rev 4 might be a better prop, never know until you try. What was the horsepower rating on your motor?

I'm curious to try that one as well. It's 380hp. I think I'm going to end up doing the tune though and then probably need to test a little more [emoji2]

Definitely try the Rev 4 as it is more of a bow lifting prop than the B1. Even with the tune it would still be a good prop, just may need to go up one pitch after the tune. Have fun and I'm sure with the right prop and a couple hundred more RPM you'd see low 70's.

Really? From what I saw online they are decently cheap too. Under $500

I think it was $440 on sale when I checked. What prop did yours come with. I would log the data on the stock one and then try a few from there. Being brand new it will give you a base to go from. You can then try labbed same pitch and 1 up or down on the pitch. Hill will lab them for $150-200 depending on the condition it currently is in. I saw a 26 yesterday Hill did that was sharp as a knife and I would not recommend if any kids or you hang out in the water a lot. Not worth a few miles an hour.

Haha not if I can't get on plane faster like him. From already on plane, I think I've got him covered. :D

It came with a stainless bravo 1 26p. I have a little data but need to collect more. The RH sig is $427 plus hub on hillmarine.com

Auggie at cutting edge propellors is a super nice guy. Just went and picked up a prop on loan today to try this weekend. He said lets use that prop to set a base point and we will get you hooked up from there.

Steve, when we were chatting outside of Copper Canyon on Saturday you recommended a prop to me for the Howard. I can't for the life of me remember what you said so if you remember please let me know. Thanks.

With 520 HP I think you could spin a 28. I would try that and then based on the info from the 2 maybe have 1 of them labbed and dialed in for your boat. I think my neighbor runs a labbed 28 with his 26' 525 Cat.

I was thinking about possibly trying a 28. I'm not sure though. I'll be in Havasu this weekend. I'm going to try and get some more data on this prop. I think maybe it would be good to have a couple to pick from for the colder temps and hotter temps.

It is always good to have a spare on hand. I plan on keeping 3 of the 6 maybe 4. Depending on how many on board and if we are doing water sports. I will ask if any one I know has good deal on a 28. You can always have it cut down a little if need be. I think I can get a 27 5 blade. I will ask next trip out if he still has it.
