You told me you wanted to get some beers:headscratch:....no reason to stick to that story on RDP, I'm pretty sure your wife doesn't lurk on here.:D

Don't you mean you're on a "steak out" at Outback? ;)

Ok. Here is what happened.

I was walking into a casino to meet a Buddy visiting from Texas. I hear screeching tires and a lady yelling come back. I asked her what happened and she said they stole her purse. She was an older lady. The truck drove recklessly and hit a dead end, then hit it in reverse all the way out of the parking lot. I ran back to my car and tried to catch up to them. two lane road and I am stuck behind a big rig and can't pass. driving about 75 trying to catch up. the truck pulls into a business, but there is a locked gate. I drove by slow and saw a person get out of the back of the truck with a purse. I couldn't turn in due to traffic so I was forced to drive by. When I could, I hood a u-turn and pulled over where I could see them (at this point I am thinking I don't need to get shot at). they jumped in the cab and drove past me. I waited a little and made a u-turn to follow. We are in a pretty rural area now with two lane country roads and not a lot of cars. I lost them in traffic, then working my way through the traffic I end up right next to them. My lane is traveling faster than theirs and I have to pass them, so I casually drive past. It happened so fast, I couldn't get their license number. I turned right into a neighborhood to let them pass me again, and pulled back out. At this point it seems like they are getting suspicious of me as they start driving erratically and then a sudden turn into a neighborhood. I am staying back at this point hoping to hit red light so I can get their license number. I ended up losing them. I come to a T intersection (I don't know where I am at this point). I can't see cars either direction because of turns in the road. I thought maybe I caught a glimpse of a tail light to the right, so I turn right. I catch up to them. Now they have to know I am following them. They make a sudden left turn from traffic lanes on the red. (they weren't in the left turn lane and the left turn light was red.). I couldn't follow and had to drive past. At this point I had called the cops but couldn't give much info other than it was a red truck (I thought it was a Toyota). I drove past the intersection (it was a divided road) and made a u-turn as soon as I could. When I got back to the intersection, I was driving fast trying to catch up to them. I made the right turn and saw them in the parking lot of a drug store getting out of the truck, but I was going too fast to turn in. With the divided road, I had to go to the next light may a u-turn and go back. By this time, the truck was parked, but the people were gone I drove into the parking log, got the license number of the truck, parked where I could see the front door of the store and their truck. I called the cops again and told them where the truck was and gave them the license number, and waited. This is when I posted on RDP :D . A cop arrived and called me (had my number from the dispatcher), said to stay were I was and he was going to park out of sight behind the building to see if they came back to the truck. He said the truck was registered out of the area, so he wanted to make contact with them here. He wanted to watch the truck and wait for additional units to search the surrounding area to see if the Perps were on foot. They never came out of the store and another cop picked them up on the street. they had the purse. They drove them back to the truck and I identified them as the people I saw. The Muther F'ers were NABBED. Fucking dirtbags.

I will never see the lady whose purse it was, but she was very upset. Seemed like everything she owned was in that purse. Maybe she had won big in the Casino. I will never know, but it always feels good to help out.

Sorry for the long post.

RT99 - GOOD JOB. I'm sure the lady and the cops really appreciate your effort.

Now, if you don't mind, I'll make a suggestion.... most keyboards have a key on the right hand side, usually it's twice as wide as all the other keys and it generally has a left pointing arrow on it. Try hitting this key at the end of a sentence once in a while. :D

Thank You!! I was just in the right place at the right time to help.

Damn. Way more interesting than my night.

Unfortunately, after it was all over I got to see my buddy for about 15 minutes and they had to hit the road.

Thank you. I think they will spend Thanksgiving in a cold cell. Cops called me at 12:45 am to take a statement.

Sounds like you need a concealed carry permit and a gas card. Nice work. [emoji106]

I have have both, but I wasn't carrying at the time. I followed them for about 15 miles...

Great job ! People who steal are ass holes . People who steal from old people are a special kind of ass hole !
