Anyone here have an idea what the compression should be for one of these dinosaurs?

Added question, any clue about what jetting should be on a stock engine at about 7,000 foot elevation?

Go to GLAMIS dunes.com they have a whole forum dedicated to 70's. We have two, not with electric start 150's in them. Add a few beers and they become death traps.

You buy a new head for less than $100 and new 88cc kit for $100. So who cares what compression is just get new parts

Ok 70 guys another question.
This dude has a gas tank that looks good on the outside,no dents etc,but a fair amount of rust inside.
Best course of action?
Radiator shop flush?
POR15 ?
What kind of rust neutralizing "coating" or process is there that will stand up to gasoline?

Evaporust worked well for me removing rust from the XT225 tank on the bike I just sold. Just make sure you buy enough to completely fill the tank. Let it sit over night and viola, rust free tank.

Kreem works well to coat the tank but you need to get all the rust out and have good surface prep for it to stick to the metal and not peel up. Also make sure to shove something all the way into the outlets of the tank so they don't fill up with the Kreem and keep your fuel from coming out.

you can also try vinegar in it and see if that helps with the rust, then kream it.
