Frankly, I'm losing interest rapidly.

We've just endured 7+ years of a so called POTUS that seemingly has anything BUT the well being of this country in mind...one who's history and life of deceit and lie is shrouded in a cloak and NO ONE seems to question it, or those that do question it are mocked as lunatics.
We read (straight faced) reports of a ego maniacal lying murdering democrat front running candidate losing tonight's NH caucus to an admitted socialist leaning, tax till you bleed nobody who somehow has become the option for liberal know nothings (and he could very well be the next "leader" of the...I was going to say "free world", but that will no longer be so) and we accept these reports as daily news....

On the flip side we have Trump...nuff said...

So I ask you, (and we've met and shaken hands before), What chance does this country have for a future when the populace accepts the above scenario as "normal" business in the political arena?

Our resident geniuses do NOTHING but point out how wrong the minions are while offering not a single solution except for what benefits their bottom line, or endlessly lecturing about how their OPINIONS are ,in fact, fact.

In short, there is nothing to be accomplished here. It used to be fun debating, but now I can see that there is no more debating.

We are doomed as a free Nation...there is NO doubt about that. The good news for me at least is that I'm old, I most likely wont see the bitter end, but when we can seriously sit here and say "Bernie is beating Hillary and I hope Trump can beat one of them"...well, it pretty much says it all...

Idiocrosy was a funny movie...who knew it would be a portal to reality...

What we need is a true conservative. Anything else is just more of the same. Principles principles principles. Pretty much the same as the real estate notion of location location location.

And who would that be?

This is what I am talking about. There isn't a human being alive that is "perfect" in any arena.
So we just dismiss our "better" choices (and that can apply to anyone, on any stage, be it political or otherwise) and hope for a solid choice "next time".

Well, there is a finite number of "next times"...and I don't see a Ronnie or JFK on the horizon...

We had better pull our heads out of our asses and think about WTF we are doing and talking about.

We are SO conditioned to expect perfectly rounded candidates to be supplied that we seem to ONLY judge faults, and dismiss any positives...

In that respect we are no different than the entitlement slackers that most of us despise. If we can't work with what we got...well...

So bitch we will, and the fence sitters will laugh from their perch, and not a God Damned thing will happen unless we make it happen.

Time to drop PC bullshit, call terrorists what they are, stop the influx, say fuck off to enemies we supply, get the fuck out of the ME, let real enemies know that we will kill them (and not pay them for the privilege), and stop turning AMERICANS against each other.

How can this be accomplished when a probable candidate is a tax increasing, socialist who's only concern is giving away the farm to personal supporters?
How can this be done when half the populace is conditioned and brainwashed to promote this, and the other half is unsatisfied because they don't see a prodigal candidate?

I thought Mitt was a fucking goofball, BUT I failed to realize that half the Country were even bigger goofballs...and that has deteriorated even farther as of now.

I agree there is no perfect candidate. Only the candidate that has the best conservative history. Each conservative voter has to evaluate this on their own. To me the easy rejects are trump, christie. Rubio and Bush are bruised. Cruz has the best history demonstrating consistency.

Huffington Post and New York Daily News are foaming at the mouth:yikes:D
Real journalism there,lol

In late January, Huffington Post announced that all of its Trump-related articles would include an editor's note reading, "Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S."

While the editorial stance may delight Trump's detractors, it is viewed by many members of the political press corps as unbecoming of an outlet that bills itself as a news organization.

Huffington Post had initially covered Trump's campaign in its Entertainment section, though that approach became too complicated as Trump's bid gained steam and emerged as one of the most significant political stories of the 2016 cycle.

Huffington Post wasn't the only media organization to indict New Hampshire voters. The New York Daily News, long an outspoken critic of Trump, revealed that Wednesday's headline will be: "DAWN OF THE BRAIN DEAD: Trump comes back to life with N.H. win as mindless zombies turn out in droves."

The Aussie Wombat is flooding this section with mostly useless threads. He has 13 of the 20 on the 1st page. Kinda get lost with all the threads he starts and pushes the good ones to page 2. :rolleyes IMO :D

Do you ever read his threads?

I too saw them as "filler" at first, but after reading a few they are now sort of a morning news source for me.:thumbsup

Keep posting Aussie Wombat. The more food for thought the better. :thumbsup
Because of our time difference l get to read a lot of things from a number of different sources before you guys (as l type this in Sydney it's Wednesday night at 7.52 pm and looking at my iphone it says Havasu is 1.54am), so if l find it interesting I'll post it as l've had a number of pm's stating the same (the more food for thought the better).

Many, many times l've posted a thread that relates to the world stage (not just about America or Australia) and these have generated a lot of spirited input by inmates which is great , to be aware of what's happening around the world is becoming a world citizen and in truth that's what we all are.:thumbsup

I've always had an open mind and l feel to be aware of what is happening around the the world is extremely important, when you become insular you become susceptible to some of the possible and formidable problems that may land on your doorstep.
Forewarned is forearmed, so the old saying goes.:thumbsup

I have seen many threads in the P&G section, to much in fact, that degenerate down to personal threats and name calling which is sad and pretty immature, yet other threads have been very informative and constructive in comment. This is great especially for me who is but a babe in the woods regarding your political system.

I've found a hell of a lot of inmates very informative and consistent in their comments NO MATTER what side of the river they play in;) and l listen and respect anyone's opinion, l might not agree with it but l respect it.:thumbsup

I love people with passion and commitment eg, racey, regor,WTG, wsuwrhr, OT, 530RL, 500bbc , shintooo, ponstar,V, chilli palmer, gelcoater to name but a few who regardless of the content in a thread will say what's on their mind, period.:thumbsup

Until l become more comfortable with your system and hopefully before l buy a joint (that's a house) in Havasu (which won't be before our dollar is on par with yours again it's still 30% down :thumbsdown) l won't make a dickhead of myself and over indulge in comment.;)

I have many mates who are American and we all poke each other in the guts regarding our different countries and political systems BUT they reckon l'm Aussie with an Amercian inside wanting to get out, dopey pricks :D

The only disappointment in what bobby V said, l had 13 out of the 20 posts on the 1st page :thumbsdown, shit, l will have to lift my game to be more consistent I'm aiming for 20 out of 20 now.:thumbsup:D

I blame both sides... Sanders trump really!!??!!??

Sad indeed. But not hard to see how this has come about.

Sad/scary that Clinton isn't at least indicted or challenged. The message her situation sends is powerful politicians can do as they please with no repercussion. The people speak by choosing Sanders over her, at least so far. But really sad fact is no other person on the D side has stepped up to oppose Sanders furthering the point of powerful politicians intimidating others. HC is a bully and she's getting away with it is the perception......

Trump's message has pushed him to the top. Citizens have twice given R's the nod in the mid-terms and they've done nothing with the seats gained in Congress. Good 'Ol Boy leadership has soured the public as nothing changes in spite of campaign promises.

Clinton is a bully and not trump? I'm not disagreeing I'm just pointing out that Bernie supporters see trump as a blow hard bully. No one has opposed Bernie because he's saying what the liberals want to hear. I posted a Bernie meme on fb yesterday and was surprised to read some comments. Of course they didn't have much to say when jammed up about it.

One comment said Bernie knows what it's like to be broke ( collected unemployment) I can't understand how him being broke makes him for us or a good choice. I honestly was shocked at that response

I don't remember Brown being overly vicious but I think it was WhiteWorks constant banging on the Mormon religion that chased him away?

I haven't lost interest in the Country or the PRF, just been busy with other things. Talking about the candidates for me is a waste of time. I'm not going to vote for any of the republican candidates because I have heard much substance. I'm not crazy about the Dem choices either.

I went back and looked at the Doc's post history, i can't find any attacks that ran him off. He bowed out, bummed, when Mitt got slaughtered in the election.... I never saw any personal attacks or responses to....

I am sitting back enjoying the clown car that is the Republican primary...

There is absolutely nothing I can type that can make that group any more comical than they are already.

When the primaries are over I will weigh back in of course. Although if its Hillary Vs. Donald I might have to drink heavily before hitting the keyboard...

I guess that "silent majority" never came through for him.:D

Obama has come thru for you ? Has he come thru for 'low income people, small business owners, unions, LEOs, Blacks, college loan holders, how about the Coal Industry workers, you know ALL THE IDIOTS WHO VOTED FOR HIM ???

You got your 'Hope and Change', at it is killing this country as fast as the POTUS can sign his 'Executive Orders' and the courts fight over the messes .........

The ONLY REASON there are not 'angry hoards' at the gates of the White House, is because GAS and DIESEL are CHEAP, and that is IN SPITE of what Obama has done to that industry with EPA rules and political pressure .

Having spent BILLIONS on FAILED health care, solar power, immigration, and terrorist policy, all this country has gotten from Obama is more debt, and MORE SOCIAL DIVISION . Federal Government Accounting has estimated 6.6 Trillion added debt by Obama at the end of his terms . Then you 'fluffers' come on here and say "he's balancing the budget", because you believe his lies .

Go ahead and tell me what you don't like about Bernie's voting record during that career in politics... That should be easy for a person of your intellect and obviously high level of information. Just list out the top three for me.

Democrats become easily CONFUSED when offered MULTIPLE CHOICES, and so you ATTACK everything you don't understand .

The Republican Party is trying to offer 'a broad range of candidates, and true choices for their voters', Men and a Woman, hard right, centrist, and 'bought and paid for', along with 'outsiders' who owe nothing to anyone .

This cycle the Democrats offer a Woman with a large political machine behind her, of which she disavows any knowledge, and is under federal investigation . That's not a 'GOP smear investigation', but a real federal FBI investigation . She claims to be 'one of the people', but has her security carry a ROPE to distance herself from 'her people' .

The 'LEFT' also offers a US Senator who proclaims to be a Socialist, and has apparently lived his political and literal life as a 'freeloader off the people', as a good socialist would do . After being in office for 24 years, ALWAYS making much more money than most working Americans, he CLAIMS on his 'application to run for office' that his net worth at only $300K total . So basically a man with GOOD PERSONAL INTENTIONS, but absolutely ZERO MOTIVATION, and ZERO PLANS to go forward if elected . IF the people of this country did elect Sanders, they would suffer the same fate that other countries have in history, once they were forced or fell victim to the 'Emotional Socialist Escape' .

Take 10 minutes and ignore the socialist label for a minute and just understand his current and past positions on the issues. Then tell me what he has done that you disagree with. Not a rabbit hole not a trap. He gets it and has convinced a ton of people of that fact.

One is under an FBI investigation the other is a self proclaimed socialist who's never had a job other than being on the gov. teet and rails that the system/economy is rigged! Just because he couldn't survive on his own without government assistance he's made it his life's work to see that everyone is suckling at the same teet.

Talk about a clown car more like a fucking clown RV.

So glad you cleared it up because from some viewpoints it looks like they cant find their ass with both hands.

Once again I must tell you that 'having your head in the sand, will always give the same 'VIEWPOINT' .

Now, as far as ASSES go, don't you think the Democrats are in the lead there ? LOOK at who you offer !

A 'lying, cheating, two faced, pantsuit wearing, female hater', which most Vermont Democrats call "The lying ass" .

On the other hand, your party offers a lazy, single minded socialist, who wants everyone to live a life like his . A life of 'living off the government dole', producing nothing of value, 'demanding equal rights' without EVER considering giving 'equal effort for equal pay' . He and his 'socialist flute' are playing 'just the right tune' for those who are TOTALLY LOST in today's fast paced world . Those who can't face an adult life of work and self control . They chose BERNIE because he is promising a world where they will NEVER NEED TO GROW UP, and that sounds GREAT to them ......

So the 'left' has a 'Lying Ass' and a 'Stupid Ass', and you try to tell me that 'the GOP has it all wrong' ?

CHOICES don't confuse me, and that's one more reason I'm not a Democrat ........

And on top of it all he is not an actual Democrat having just joined the party in 2015. He was an Independent prior to that and started as a Liberty Union Party member back in the 70's. This man ran for offices in this party until finally getting elected US Rep as an Independent. He's a progressive socialist through and through.......Wake up Dems, you ain't even supporting your own.:rolleyes

The Liberty Union Party of Vermont, founded in 1970 by former Congressman William H. Meyer, Peter Diamondstone, Dennis Morrisseau and others, originated in the anti-war and People's Party movements of the late 1960s and defines itself as a non-violent socialist party.
