I saw Dave last night and told him I would try to post some fab related content, so here goes...
These are old uprights from a Pro-4 short course truck, and I am modifying the mounting points to use them for spares on the current truck. Race season starts next weekend in Phoenix so I don't have IMG_2297.JPG IMG_2298.JPG IMG_2299.JPG IMG_2300.JPG time to build a new set. I'll update as I go today.

Sorry guys, didn't see the questions until now....
The upright is the same as a spindle, or the part that connects the upper and lower A-arm to the hub. (Race-Tec nailed it). This one does not use a unit, or cartridge style bearing, though that is common in other race cars of the same class. This one uses a much larger bearing that surrounds the CV joint. The bearing/CV joint unit is a billet aluminum housing that presses into the upright pictured. Sounds complex, and it is to build, but simple and reliable in practice. Hope that clarifies things a little, and sorry I cannot post pics of the actual bearing/cv setup.
