That came out really nice. Where's the cabinetry from? That's a ton of storage. [emoji106]

Nice job. I'm not letting the wife see this thread. I don't want to be remodeling the bathroom any time soon, if I can help it.

Great job. In the middle of one right now. Did you do all the work youself, or contract it out?

That shower came out very nice! Was it your design? Pm me what it cost. It is hard to price them out and like to see what others charge.

Thanks! Not my design she picked out all the colors, tile etc.... as for price I'll have to look. Some of the tile, like the mosaic deco was Home Depot and some of the other stuff was picked out and supplied by the tile sub.

Very nice job. Tile done right with a return. Looks like a full float instead of backer[emoji106]

Looks good. Ya the darker floor really contrasts with the shower and makes it stand out. The frame less 1/2" shower glass is a great touch but it's expensive.

Is there a preferred, not preferred or standard when laying tile.
Since the vanity is not in yet. should I tile the whole floor or wait for the vanity and then tile around it?
As of now we are doing the whole floor.

Sorry I was talking about the original poster. What did you put on the walls before tile?

It is looking good. It's all personal preference. I have a full float (mortar) on the walls. It allows you to get it dead straight and square and I like the return at the edge. There is no right or wrong.

When u say return on the edge I assume u are talking about the end tile caps that finish the look. ???? If so I was asking the wife if they are coming back. I want it that way like the OPs is

Yes at the edges. You might have enough room for a 1/4 round. But with backer/cement/hardie board they usually use a tile with a finished edge

Ran into it a few times where they do not make the right pieces for color or material chosen. Usually old framing we have to float, if we frame it we can use cement board. Tomorrow one is floated and the other cement board all depends on the framing. If not square and level best to float. Most all high end jobs we end up floating especially with stone and marble.

We are not sure if we are keeping the new granite counter. The sample we looked at was less busy more white throughout. Going to take some time and see if it grows on us. Image1460735310.938005.jpg Image1460735327.158854.jpg Image1460735348.407536.jpg Image1460735364.349421.jpg

Vanity supposed to show up today for this bathroom. Digital heated floor. The linear drain looks great.
