I can't find the thread but six plus months ago I decided to remove all of the rocks out of the front area where my kids like to play and make it a giant sand box for them..

I moved about a third of the rocks and said screw it.. So we lived with that for awhile, and then I had little Brian pull the rest of them out. So after three weeks of just dirt back there I finally got off my ass two days ago and went over to the rock supply place that 2FF recommended me too and priced sand.

They gave me a few cards of people that would put it in place for me and I called them all. One guy was really quick to jump on it, said he could get me the sand way cheaper and the total install price would be about what I was paying for the sand. I said what the hell I'll give it a try. Showed up at 7:00 this morning and he and his guy were done by 8:30. Kids have been playing in it all morning and they love it. :).

It's still damp which is why it's a little darker in color. It will dry to be white beach sand.

Next up is making the upper island look tropical and beachy. Should be done by tomorrow. :)
