Catalina and Clemente

We'll be there June 6th for two weeks.

We got a nice can (D-12) at Cherry Cove and decided to stay there the entire three days. We fished while moored and caught a dozen Sheapshead in the 5-8lb class, Whitefish, legal Calico's, and a couple of Sculpins. On the way back we decided to try the West end and picked up another handful of Calicos just off the sandy cove there.

Nice relaxing weekend and didn't use much fuel at all.

With the tuna having finally woken up we're headed out to San Clemente Island for the Labor Day weekend. The Navy stops live fire exercises tomorrow night, hopefully all their traffic the three days hasn't impacted fishing.

Anybody going out this weekend? We'll be anchored just inside China Point for the three nights. Already picked up our Multi-day Declarations from Fish & Game.

Nice, hope you catch a bunch of tuna. We'd always get the multi day for lobster opening day.[emoji3]

Usually at least one of the sons is up until 3:00 or 4:00 fishing or making bait, plus we set the drift alarm on the chart plotter. Once inside Pyramid it's a lake and we've never pulled the anchor.

With the schools of bluefin setting only a few miles south of the island I'm expecting to see 50 or more boats inside the cove instead of the normal 5.
