Figured I would show you guys what I use and do.. A lot of it depends on the products I have on hand, but if I swear by one I will let you know.

Stacy's Flex is only a couple years old, and John and Michelle owner it before us. For those that don't know John was one of if not the premier detailer in Lake Havasu at one time so anything he owns is always top notch and well kept.

It's hot as shit out here right now, so I cheated a little bit. I ran the car through a drive through car wash, and then I came home and parked it in the garage in the air conditioning. Once the paint cooled off I got out Performance Boat Candy and wiped the whole car down to make sure it was free of any dust and to get all the little stuff the car wash didn't get..

I like using either PBC or Hotsauce for the first round because hey have water spot removers in them and they strip a lot of foreign contaminates etc..

I was hauling ass because the car had to be ready at 7:00 am and I started after midnight. So I didn't take any pics of wiping it down. Obviously use microfibers for this stage.

Image1464944182.021538.jpg

After comes the ducky super wet carnuba.. I love this stuff! I apply it in small circular motions by hand with a microfiber sponge, let it setup and then lightly buff off with clean microfibers.

In these pics you can see panels I just did versus ones that haven't been waxed yet. You will also see the wax turn white when it's fully setup.

Wax setup and buffing off

Brian helping me vacuuming the inside and doing the wheels etc while I am waxing.

Image1464944767.566517.jpg

When it's done the car actually looks "wet" and has crazy depth to the paint.

Outside pics the following afternoon.

Now from here for general maintaining of keeping it clean I will use spray waxes that don't have any water spot removers in them as they will strip all the wax I just put on. I will use Lucas slick most or performance boat candies product for cars, which is just detergents and carnuba, no vinegar.

That one was easy because the car is relatively new.. The caddy on the other hand. Well the Caddy was kinda screwed.. Lol. It's been awhile since anyone showed this thing any love. I bought it from Wade who probably just ran it through drive through car washes.. Not sure who had it before him, most likely a DEA impound yard. Lol

Anyhow it looks good, but doesn't have that "pop" as the paint is kind of dull in some spots. So I decided to polish the paint in all the areas that had that kind of "dry" feel to them and I am really happy with the results.

Started the process with pressure washing the shit out of it, and then going over the whole car with PBC last night. Brian was on Windows and rims. The rims are chrome and were so dirty he actually spent about two hours on them with degreasers and window cleaner.

Rims look new now.

Starting in on polishing the hood.

Followed the same instructions that Tim laid out in his instructional videos on RDP. Five pea sized dots, a spray or two of water on the foam pad and then do 2' sections. I used their polish compound instead of the higher cutting power stuff. The paint was that bad.

You can see where I polished and didn't so far (back of the hood and side)

In these two pics you can see the side and top of the car.. If you look closely you see where I stopped near the roof..

The entire back quarter panel is done now and looks new.

While I am doing the outside Brian is working on the inside. There was a giant rust stain in the carpet.. Some kid drew on the back of the front seats with pen.. Needless to say the car was pretty "blah."

To give you an idea this is the floor mattes that haven't been cleaned yet. Lol

Image1464945705.307159.jpg

The carpet color is actually a light tan believe it or not.

The trunk that had the big rust stain.. FYI. We are using carpet cleaners from the dollar store.

Image1464945794.342184.jpg

Used like away in the rust stain..

Image1464945820.904909.jpg

Then followed it up with carpet cleaner again.

You don't need all those fancy machines to get good results.. A six hp shop vac will suck the shit out of the carpet better than anyone of those carpet machines. Lol.

Used Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner for round one on the seats.. Over the next week or so I'll clean them a couple more times and drop a shit load of conditioner on them over and over again.

Image1464946148.703144.jpg

The seat that had the pen all over it.. Got it 50% out but there's a couple of lines that aren't coming out. I'd be interested in any input from the members on this if they got an idea..

I am going to try some different shit on it tomorrow.

RD.....there is this shit called Soil Love.....I think that's the name? Anyways.....my wife swears by it for stains. It was her magic shit that used to get all the grass stains, etc out of laundry. She always used it on our boys baseball pants. White pants would come out perfect. They have it at 99 cent stores. Maybe that will work on the pen marks? You try Scrubbing Bubbles and magic erase?
