Figured I would show you guys what I use and do.. A lot of it depends on the products I have on hand, but if I swear by one I will let you know.
Stacy's Flex is only a couple years old, and John and Michelle owner it before us. For those that don't know John was one of if not the premier detailer in Lake Havasu at one time so anything he owns is always top notch and well kept.
It's hot as shit out here right now, so I cheated a little bit. I ran the car through a drive through car wash, and then I came home and parked it in the garage in the air conditioning. Once the paint cooled off I got out Performance Boat Candy and wiped the whole car down to make sure it was free of any dust and to get all the little stuff the car wash didn't get..
I like using either PBC or Hotsauce for the first round because hey have water spot removers in them and they strip a lot of foreign contaminates etc..
I was hauling ass because the car had to be ready at 7:00 am and I started after midnight. So I didn't take any pics of wiping it down. Obviously use microfibers for this stage.
After comes the ducky super wet carnuba.. I love this stuff! I apply it in small circular motions by hand with a microfiber sponge, let it setup and then lightly buff off with clean microfibers.
In these pics you can see panels I just did versus ones that haven't been waxed yet. You will also see the wax turn white when it's fully setup.
