We called it the limo. Rides like a dream.

From a driving standpoint, I thought it handled very well and felt solid. No chine at higher speeds and just a little bit of trim freed it up.

Best we saw was 81 on GPS.

2 people and a 1/4 tank?

The old and new 290's are super stable. They have a very flat attitude. With a 600 four of us full tank ran 84 on gps.

They are great boats. Just roll it up on plane. Downside is they are pretty heavy for a single.

Little more than a 1/4, but just Randy and I. Labbed 26 B1.

the boats are about 5mph slower than the west coast speeds! a 28 howard with a 500 can only run about 68 in the Midwest!

I saw about 81-82 on GPS. Had about a 1/3 tank, me and a buddie. Was Cold out though so that prob helped. 40 degrees and water temp was 50 degrees.
