My Dad has a Hallett 210 Bowrider with a 496 HO and Dana Manifolds. He used to spin a 22P that he had repitched to a 24, which he would cavitate on the bottom end and hit the limiter on the top end. After talking to Hallett he went up to a true 24P as we discovered a repitched prop can?t truly get to what it?s repitched too( ie he was really spinning a 23.5 instead of 24). He?s still hitting the rev limiter although not as bad as before and there is zero cavitation to the boat what so ever. Now he?s debating going to a labbed 26P which to me sounds great on paper. We?ve played around on prop calculators but you can?t really do anything that amounts to anything as his motor quits making power when he hits the rev limiter. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I agree a labbed 26 should work if you are hitting the limiter with a 24.

Where are you boating? Also are you running the boat how you normally would? Decent fuel load people etc?

I spin a 23 REV4 on my HO powered 210. I have only hit the limiter once in but cold weather at lake San Antonio.

For top end the labbed B 1 26 works best with my boat. It is not much different than my 24 B 1. The 23 Rev 4 is a little easier to spin up until the high RPMs but can still hit rev limiter. Sold a stock 26 I could not hit limiter. 496HO but 26'.
