I am replacing the boards and carpet on my trailer. I ordered a roll of 12" x 100' 16 oz. cutpile bunk carpet online and received it two days. The carpet is nice, but it looks a little light for bunks on my boat. The old bunk carpet looks to be much heavier (even though it's rotten). Are trailer manufacturers using 16 oz. carpet or heavier stuff now. Where do you guys get your bunk carpet and what weight carpet do you use if you are re-doing your trailer yourself?

I have seen a rubber type material that eliminates the carpet. It lets to the wood dry almost instantly so the wood lasts forever. Tried to find a picture of the stuff but didn't have any luck.
