several months ago outdrive1 brought this mess over to my house. I told him then "I don't want to do this. I don't have time for it". Either way that was months ago and I want this thing out of my garage.. So today is shifter plate day.. There is not real anyway I can think of to make it look super "pretty". and I took it apart to see if I can make a billet case for it to make the foot print smaller to use the existing plate, but that started getting into quite the project for a g job.. So we are gonna make an adapter plate and try my skills at a little upholstery.

Current plate and interior board that is recessed for it.

What does thing thing use to hold the cable inside the gunwale? I need to make up something for myself and my uncle's boat and we both use a standard non indexed Morse shifter.

Wouldnt it be esier to fill the hole and recover it(since you have to anyway). Then remount the shifter.

Nice RD!

I'm making a few signs and you and I made a deal. So is it 'Parker North' or 'River North'?

What material and how thick? If you draw something up I can easily cut you a few blanks with the holes on my laser then you can finish machine it. Ive got stainless and aluminum laying around.

So any how i squared the plate and machined the cut out for the plate and have had one thing after another come up since then. Stacy's grandpa Everett was out here last week and weekend and wanted to do something. He's a retired machinist from Sunkist.. so he cranked out the remainder of the plate in about an hour.

That's awesome.

I keep forgetting about this section and should post some stuff I do once in awhile.
