My wife and I inherited the little black buggy affectionately known as "franken buggy", from her mom and dad a few years back. IT was put together with left over parts from all the families that went to Glamis when my wife was a kid, in fact she learned to drive in this car. With all the sentimental value we decided to get it running last year but the frame was in sad shape so at the end of last year I picked up the red frame found on Craig's list with the plan to swap over all the good stuff from the black buggy. Turns out the red frame was an old Chenoweth frame that was pretty decently built but I wanted to update the look of the frame and provide some better protection so I cut the top off and built a new top and back. Did that work last fall before we moved and finally had time in the last month to try and finish it up. Got it just about completed. Still fabbing up the roof panel, hopefully get that done tonight. Shake down run is this weekend to Glamis. Probably will add side panels to the buggy after this trip. Nothing fancy but it should be fun for the wife and kids and with most of the parts from the old buggy on there it still retains some of the family history.
