San Nicolas during the holiday week

I want to run out to San Nicolas Island between Christmas and New Year, maybe a 4 day trip if the weather co-operates. Anybody here interested in tagging along? Probably 80 miles out from Huntington for your fuel budget. The plan is to target Lings, Grouper, Sheapshead, Yellowtail and big bugs.

I've been thinking about making that trip out of MDR

We passed on the trip, just couldn't find a weather window that worked with our schedule. Unlike Clemente and Catalina, San Nicolas doesn't offer much in the way of protected anchorages when things get snotty. We'll probably put it off until springtime and the re-opening of the rockfish season.
