Had a little leaking around the window with all this rain.

Nothing a bucket of Henry's won't fix.

looks like its time to budget for a new roof, its on borrowed time...

IMO, install a single ply 60 mil PVC system.. very clean roof system, especially when you gotta look at it.. LOL

Yeah it looks bad in the picture now that we've cleaned away all the gravel and rocks that normally sit on top. I bought a bag of fresh rocks and I'm going to Henry's the whole shelf Then lay in some reinforcement paper and put another layer on top and then put a new layer of rocks that will make it much better.

good luck!!!!

PS, burn your clothes when your done, henrys will always bite you when you not looking (the shit gets everywhere)

the secret to henrys, have a towel on hand, when you get one spot on your hand, tool, bucket ANYTHING, immediately wipe if off ...

IMO,
1. you are playing with FIRE (MESSY)
2. its gonna be a MESS when your fix doesn't work, then the contractor you hire to replace the roof removes your work and the original system.
3. Return the material and Call a Pro.

Your right about it being a mess!

And I did throw away my shirt and the tools!

But I think it came out pretty good.

After I got all the old crap out I put down a fresh layer and reinforced the corners

Image1485043804.226939.jpg

Then recovered the whole area

Image1485043825.785530.jpg

Image1485043853.022470.jpg

Then put all new rock down

Image1485043912.157372.jpg

That should hold me over for a while - with rain the next three days I'll find out soon enough!

WD40 cleans henrys or any roof mastic off with ease. Then use dawn soap to clean the WD40.

Cleanliness...

If you don't count the curtain that got Henry's on it and then my wife used a yellow rag to clean it - then we had Henry's and yellow rag stain on the white curtain.

Or the shirt I leaned into the Henry's while spreading around leaning out the window and had to throw out

Or after I got the Henry's on my shirt and leaning on the inside white wall on the house while reaching out the window to do the work...

Ya that Henry's shit gets one everything !

Orange air freshener that they sell at Home Depot works great for removing that Henry's crap and it smells better than WD-40, plus it works for cleaning those bad smudges from your sunglasses.

The only thing worse is the black waterproofing from Pacific Polymers. I got that shit on my old dually seat I dont know how but I am sure it is still there.

That looks like it will hold up for some time but be a nightmare to remove when the time comes. A 5 gallon bucket of hot tar would of been the way to go over it.
