We recently had these Lightning headers brought in for a little TLC. The purple finish was pretty hammered. We start by chemically stripping the existing powdercoat. Then move onto bead blasting. After the parts are cleaned, we hang them and apply our chrome base powdercoat. After 25 minutes in the oven, we hit them hot with our new candy purple finish. They came out as good as new.

Looks great!

Mine were hammered and were repaired multiple times. After they were blasted we found tiny holes had them patched and sent to the oven. Once back on the boat they failed. Bought a set of CMI's from Teague and called it a day. I do miss the look of my headers though.

Looks good, I stopped by the shop last week and seen them in person. Did not realize they were so badly damaged, just thought they were updating the color. I too recently purchased a set of lightning, what would cause them to get damaged in this manner? Just would like to protect my investment.

Pretty safe to say that the set we refinished saw alot of heat and the powedercoat didn't react well to it.

I will be calling you shortly, I have a set of the hydraulic hinges that I am getting installed with my new interior but need new lines. Currently setup was a foot of SS braided hose that went to a connector, from there it was your standard hose( that has now been damaged ). Do you keep the standard black hose in stock? Also the cup holders we discussed were clear anodized.
