What it looks like to me is that Grads triggers a lot of people and you dont like him violating your safe space here at RDP. What a bunch of snowfakes.

Nice find BTW. That gauge cluster is rare. If it were me I'd do the engine swap and keep the patina.

Grads deleted his post before I saw this thread, good thing it was quoted for posterity.

And without an apology. Grads you are a stain on this site and a worthless cock sucking asshole. You needed to listen and take to heart the phrase - If you have nothing nice to say say nothing at all. Oh and FUCK YOU :finger:finger

Just be aware of those putting side tanks on this particular model truck somewhere recalled but a number of people of died from side collisions because of the gas tank placement

... really???...not a spot of rust anywhere could use a passenger side door I missed one of the switchback turns in my driveway and clipped a tree ..the door still works it just doesn't look so good ...the hood as is typical of many of these is bent because the hinges went a season
without being lubed...consequently el bendo...
... could also use a good pressure washing inside outside and underneath ...lol...

I think 4-5 is light but I wouldn't go 12-15k on that with the questions and work it needs.

Looks half way decent so I would say 7-9k

You would get killed on it paying 14k

An update on this project. Got the Ridetech Street grip suspension installed over the weekend. Much improved in the looks and the ride. And lost 200 lbs in the process. IMG_5716.jpg IMG_5708.jpg

Nice truck ,are you going to keep it the original color or have other plans for paint. Those square body trucks are hot right now and are escalating quickly. I think you did very well. Cole Trickle you still have your Yellow and White 67/68 ?

I don't want to paint it. I am leaning towards white in between the chrome strips. Like a factory two tone. I have some rims on order for it. It is amazing what these things are going for now days. Thank you for the kind words.

This is the most telling part of what you said and no doubt why you don?t understand. :smackhead

it all makes perfect sense now.

It also makes me happy that my 17 year old bought his first car and made 3 years of payment. Now at 20 he bought his second car with 3k down that he saved and a bigger payment. This while staying on the deans list at Cal State taking a full load and working 28 hours a week to have his dream car now. One LESS grads on this planet. Pat myself on the back....

Got a little more done on this thing. I installed the new gauge cluster so now I can see how fast I am speeding. And got the new rims and tires on it. Getting there. 637E8E5B-4471-4440-B540-15A964C3475A.jpg IMG_5760.jpg IMG_5759.jpg

what do you charge to do this? I'd love to put a crate motor & trans in m 87

Being that yours is a 87 I would lean towards the Erod crate package. Smog legal and 400 plus hp. Price depends on options. I am deeper in this than I wanted to be but my dumb ass can't do it half ass.

I want this exact orange truck.

Thanks. I'm not done yet. I have big Wilwoods and a 9" for it. Then it is getting some more power then boost of some form. Oh yea I am going to two tone it white inside the trim. And some form of interior. All in due time.

Forgot to post pics of the best part. I had a 6.0 on the shelf and it found its way in the bay. Holley came through with the efi and the exhaust. For a stock engine it runs real well.
