I am looking for a winch. I am currently checking out Warn Winches on 4WheelOnline, is it a good option? I will be using my Chevrolet Silverado 3500 to tow my 2012 outlaw eagle jet boat.

You can't go wrong with a warn. However, you might be able to save a little or a lot depending on your intended use.

I've read a lot of very positive comments on the harbor freight wenches should that be a consideration for you.

I know that the Kevlar "cable" is pretty trick to save weight over traditional metal cabling.

I've owned/currently own a bunch of winches. Everything from warn to Tulsa to full Chinese, electric to hydro to pto. I have $$$ winches sitting right now broke, and dirt cheap Chinese crap still working.

It really all depends on intended use.

Synthetic winch rope is awesome other than the uv degradation. I have wire rope/cable on a few, syn rope on others. The syn rope is much more user friendly and doesn't store as much energy. The cable more robust.
