Same here. I llke that an 300xs can run 5-6K rpm all day long and not blow the motor. Not that I run mine that hard. That simply propels the boat too fast for most conditions! :thumbsup:thumbsup:D

Did you buy that from Greg in redondo beach?
Yes I did a couple of months ago been working on it to get it river ready.
A friend of mine's dad owned that. He's actually a member here. Sold it to another friend of mine who fixed the crack in the driver's side tunnel. He was a jet guy though and couldn't deal with having a faster outboard so he sold it. I believe it may have gone to that guy in Redondo.

Does it still have that old school rediculous coupler on the trailer?

Yes same coupler. I had to put more resin on the tunnel cause it was leaking some. Had it out at the river its running pretty good.

Yeah, it was leaking really bad the time we took it out on castaic for his first trip with it. I was bailing it like crazy. I didn't help him do the repair nor see it afterwards but I did help him slide it back on the trailer and find the actual crack. It's a cool boat with some real potential though.

That was done years ago. But I didn't see how well my buddy did on it. This was after it was "repaired" by a professional shop before my buddy bought it.

Our Skater ran great for the 120 miles of the Big Cat Poker Run. Thanks to F14 for doing a great job side tying around the docks and letting me know when the big boys were going screaming past us. There were some hurt feelings when we passed a bunch of twin car motor boats while they were making a bunch of noise. I believe we only dropped below 90mph one time, in front of Windmill, the entire 40 miles from Pittsburg to Stockton. That's when we saw Drew & Jay fly both of their boats. We trimmed down and ran thru that slop at 75mph.
F14 and I decided we needed to run his new to him 28 Skater yesterday. That boat is crazy impressive with the 250XS power. Still in break in mode she runs 90mph at 5000 rpm and 5 years of warranty. We ran +/- 80 miles yesterday.

It's not an outboard but we are launching our cabin cruiser in Benicia at 10:30am on Saturday. We will probably stop at The Pointe in Rio Vista or somewhere in Walnut Grove for lunch. Then headed to Sacramento, park the boat for the evening, and hit a few watering holes. Then to the River Cats game and fireworks after. Staying at a friends house walking distance from the game. Hope to see some of you on the water.

We're finishing up the latest 27' Speedster build and the owner's out of Seattle ... he's leaving the boat with us until next Spring !! :thumbsup He'll fly in as his schedule permits for some seat time / lake runs ...

Maybe I can get him to experience Hokie Day :cool

The Church is meeting the DCB crew at Powell...

Poker run at Powell...we will poach, cuz we hate to stop running just to pick up a card....:rolleyes

We are taking Bully's 28' Nordic. We have a houseboat in Page, right in the middle of the 3000 hp beasts!

It's a long ass haul out there, but anybody that shows can poach with us!! We plan to run the Nordic as far as we can. We ran over 300 miles in a day last time !

You should probably leave on September 13 we are meeting there the afternoon of the 14th Thursday. Everybody is heading back home Sunday. Antelope point marina is where everything will be happening. I would love to see you there. It Would probably be the best boating experience you've ever done any where ever !!!!! And will ever be able to do. It is truly the most incredible place to run a boat in North America. Possibly the world.

I have two extra hotel rooms reserved that I have not canceled yet.

Sold it to a good friend...still rocks it today. Great boat!

I'll bet over 100 people learned to foot on this boat.
