Talking to an inside source at Polaris the Rzr will have all new chassis design and around 190 HP. Well into development may arrive late this year early next.
The X3 has most definitely fired up the development.

This is our XPT:

I can't imagine 190HP in something like this. My Baja comes in at 2,200lbs and I have about 165 HP and it's crazy fast.

That's why the new chassis with the next model.

I'm at 170 HP on the XPT and it's scary fast.
It's hit it's handling limit.

Nice Build Ziggy! love that manx, you and Jan should hit Ocotillo with us this winter, should be fun, we have a few manx buggies that are regulars with us. :thumbsup
Its geared more for dunes....but hell yeah, my son is an Ocotilli addict and goes a lot.

Nice ride, Zig:thumbsup

Who's body is that? MGM or?

I would like to build pretty much that, what you have there. Was even thinking the same color...sort of.;)
Thank you. It's a MGM-FRP mid travel body on full size VW pan.

Right on:thumbsup

Have a build thread anywhere on it? Seems I learn a little something from every one I read.

Was torn for a while on Subi power or traditional VW, like a mild 2180 or something.

After going for a ride in the silver 2+2 Bruce Meyers had for years there's no question.
While the VW is alluring because of its light weight and overall simplicity...the Subi is just so nice!

Talking with Brad at Turn Key a couple years back he says there's a shop or kit or something to do the pinion flip in a Subi 5 speed. Supposed to be beefier than they typical VW trans and cheaper than the Meneola/Weddle/etc fancy trans.

Sounds like the ticket to run a low gear for paddle tires yet still have an O/d gear for street life.

Pretty much where my head was on this project. Wanted to have a minimum of 200hp without pushing the reliability envelope. The subaru engine provides that easily bone stock. Just so happened I ran across a good deal for this turbo engine.
Trans is a 091 bus. Gear sets and superdiff all weddle, stock R&P.
.
There's a guy in El Cajon, last name Johnson I think, that's well known for his subi engine packages. Has a nice 250hp 2.5 turbo motor that runs on 91 pump gas.

I want one of these. Problem is im 6'5"

If you don't need back seats there's a lot of room to scoot the driver seat back. Custom mounts/slides would be optimal I think.

I would want this instead of a razor. Seat 4 with a plate. I sat in a couple in the play-tech booth at sands port and they didn't fit me.

Me too. Not because I'm tall, but because I can register it for street duty in Ca. ;)

Talk to me before you do the subi trans. I have some insight on those. I would stick with the 091.

Nice car Ziggy, Glad Dan could help.

There is tons of room in the full length standard and mid travel body that Scott makes. I am 6'2" and have had my seat mount positioned to where there is still another notch back so my brother in law that is 6'5" fits in not problem...

Thanks, I bought it partially completed and it is a clean base to start with. Collecting parts still for the build... Who knows where it will end up... Subi, Ecotec, Ecoboost, LS?
Thanks also for the Birthday wishes, getting old sucks...

I will, just need to do the cage and some trimming first... I will take a picture of the back seat foot well when I get a chance.

DANG YOU! Ziggy.

Sort of funny how things change in a matter of a week or so.

Since I have no one else to blame but myself (and I can't do that :D ) I have to blame you for watering a seed planted long ago. :grumble:

Lower front lights most effective:
IMG_2267.jpg

Canned Ham wants $1700 for the 40" curved roof lights + extra $$ for the harness and mounts and switches. . Found the same on Ebay $360 with the wiring loom, mounts and stock switches. They go on today. It's why you seldom see Can Am accessories on their vehicles. They are so expensive the aftermarket easily competes.

Nice fit and finish on the doors

Still haven't heard back from FST on our Method 06's and paddles.
I'll drive out to the OC today and shake Daves tree.
