Hey "Classic Boat Owners", (interpret that either way: classic boats or classic owners!)
It's coming up on "Spring Time in Havasu"! Chase the rats out that have set up shop in your stored scows, add some Bardahl or sawdust to your oil, tighten your loose exhaust manifold nuts, check your tow rope and let's see if she, (and YOU), can still run! It's time to get together to lie and brag about new replaced boat and body parts acquired since last year. Oh, and to eat and imbibe, because apparently that's what we do best.

Friday, May 19th at 7:00 PM: Meet at Javelina Cantina for a no-host dinner and drinks in the patio area. (1420 McCulloch Blvd N)

Saturday, May 20th at 9:45 AM: Meet in Thompson Bay outside the Marina. At 10:00 AM we will proceed through the channel and up river to the Pavilion picnic area at Park Moabi. Masters of the BBQ, "Light My Fire Mitch Parker" and "Smokin' Hot Brad Riggen", will join forces to create a culinary delight. If you were just drooling for no particular reason when you arrived, you'll have a good excuse when you taste their lip- smackin' BBQ. Please bring an appetizer, salad or dessert to share and your own beverages. There are 110v plugs available at the site, if you wish to heat up your dish .
A Cornhole Tournament will be staged on Saturday on the beach by our Recreation Leader, Daryl-Lynn Burke. Entry fee is $5/per person with all proceeds going to the winning team. A Cornhole game starts when one team gets the "honors" and sometimes during the game there's "cornfusion". Getting a "woody" will earn you one point. But, believe it or not, a "stiff woody" is not a good thing. Sometimes there's a "dirt bag", (no, that's not the punk dating your daughter). And don't worry about a "blocker", because a "back door" is always possible. So pick a team name, ie: Corn Stars, U Make Me Corny or Corny Chicks and join in the fun. A sign- up sheet will be available Friday night at Javelina's.

Sunday, May 21st at 9:45 AM: Meet in Thompson Bay outside the Marina. At 10:00 AM we will take the party down south to The Springs for a no-host brunch. We can use any boat slip that is available.
Note: Following our brunch, we will motor up to the Three Dunes sandy beach area. This is the time to relax and reflect on how little you've accomplished since last year, and yet surprisingly how far ahead of some of your Campbell buddies you still are. It's good to have "low bars". But, all will be forgiven if your Campbell was not on the "loser" end of a tow rope during the weekend. Don't forget to bring enough snacks and beverages to last you and your crew throughout the day.
