Greg

You have got to show off the 29 magnatude you guys are building.....My dad and i couldnt stop staring at the Teague 1050 engine....it is unbelieveable! cant wait to see that bad boy all done

We were there to cleanse the wife's eyes of the ICC's... that magnitude was gorgeous!

Some basic performance numbers for you:
22 Deck with 6.2 350HP, 22p Bravo. 68mph GPS.
22 Deck with LSA, jet with headers and extras: 68-ish mph GPS (if memory serves. Jesco can confirm)

I believe 8.2's are seeing nearly same speeds in an I/O configuration. More than likely gain a few MPH on the top end, but you're dealing with a substantial weight gain over the 6.2

The only setup not tested to date, would be with an outboard. [emoji17]

That's a good question for Greg and Bob. I'm sure Greg will be able to answer that for you

I stopped.by the shop to say hello and take a look around.. it is amazing how busy Shockwave is.. I saw a 29 Magnitude, a 28 Deck being laid up, a 26 Cat being laid up, a 25 Tremor that is close to being Done, and a ton of 22 Deckboats in various stages.. I think they had 11 or 12 in process. Very good to see for a great company. 20170609_083037.jpg 20170609_083042.jpg 20170609_083050.jpg 20170609_083057.jpg 20170609_083104.jpg 20170609_083110.jpg 20170609_083122.jpg 20170609_083137.jpg 20170609_083151.jpg 20170609_083213.jpg 20170609_083222.jpg 20170609_083228.jpg 20170609_083254.jpg 20170609_083258.jpg 20170609_083322.jpg 20170609_083344.jpg 20170609_083352.jpg 20170609_083410.jpg 20170609_083400.jpg

Question: how many 22's have you guys done since re-tooling?

Too many!!! Hahahaha. I stopped by two weeks ago and told Bob to stop building them. He said that mold NEVER sits

Have they built one with a 400 yet? I would LOVE to see and hear how that set-up would perform.
The 22 Deck has been a very busy mold here at Shockwave in 2017 and we are still going! Sadly we have not done any outboards as of yet but 2018 is here and you never know what may show up the boat show.
Thanks for starting the fire.

Figure I'll add to the thread. Ours should be done soon. First time buying a new boat and Greg and jen have been awesome to work with.

Should be done within the next week or so then it's straight to Parker for her break in. View attachment 586331 View attachment 586332 View attachment 586333 View attachment 586334 View attachment 586335

Was hoping you guys would have been able to make it this weekend, but from all the feedback, it will definitely be an annual event.

Boat is looking great bud! [emoji1360]

Thanks! We will for sure be making the next regatta. Looks like it was a lot of fun.

Specs are pretty standard. 350hp 6.2 and a bravo. Mainly boat Parker but we are thinking about moving over to havasu more often next summer.

Went and checked it out this morning. It's getting pretty close. IMG_3663.jpg

You ever bring one up to Naci, lemme know. I'd LOVE to see one and if possible, to jump in one. Would be a perfect boat for us....... If the account ever agrees.

Hi guys, as 2017 comes to a close we here at Shockwave want to send a huge thank you to all our new customers and owners who have done so much to help us build the dream. November has been a good month for us we are starting five new builds as well as selling the stock 25, as soon as I have some good pics we will get them up.
Again I can't say this enough Thank you!

Wasn't there supposed to be a 29 Magnitude with a big Teague motor being built...? I was curious to see how that came out and how it ran..?

We finished the 29 Mag in middle of June I took pics of the build for a review here on RDP. We set up a tentative test run for Dave but our customer had to have it for a poker run in Arkansas and that killed the review. For us the boat ran 94 mph 6000 rpm it definitely needed more prop that we didn't have. We shipped boat and new props to the customer. After some testing and suggestions from Bob Teague the boat runs at 101 mph with a Merc racing 32p 5 blade at 6000rpm.

Scare the hell out of us both! :) The 25 is a very comfortable boat into 80s past that your in the wrong boat for that kind power package.
Great post.
This is something I hope more people read, and understand it applies to many boats by many builders.

Sometimes it isn't a matter of how much more power to go x mph faster.
That's a question we see a lot of but many don't realize their boat, with the power they already have puts the hull in its sweet spot.
Simply adding more power and prop won't get them faster...it will only get them soiled shorts:D

That's on the list this year but wont be at the show.

I will def be on the look out for when this gets started... Might as well make it with a light silver/grey base and toss some blue and dark grey in there. Maybe a slight bit of orange while we're at it! :D

Scott, I am sorry for my huge lag we are building a ton of boats and my less than stellar response time could get me shot but I think she would love a new Shockwave and there is always room for you here at the shop if she gets really mad :)

How did that 22 deck run with the 400 O/B (the white and green one)?

We delivered the boat with a prop that we felt was a good starting point the customer is very happy with it and has not got the boat back to us. As propped it runs low 70s but its only pulling 5800rpm we have an easy 1100rpm in the boat, so honestly we don't really know yet.

I saw that boat take off going up river from grandpas beach last Sunday. He had a hard time getting it to settle down when taking off. Maybe he wasn't giving it enough throttle of what, but the porpoise was pretty crazy.

A lot of things can come into play for that to happen. Likely a trim position issue. Could be too much set-back for the weight of the 400. I'm sure if it is a common issue Shockwave will vladly make some adjustments to correct that.
