I got a great deal thru a friend on a 2011 Silverado Z71, but it was in fairly rough shape. I'll do my best to correct the body issues, but it will be my daily driver, and will be used off-road and at all the races I attend, as well as a parts runner-so not looking to make it perfect. Here are some pictures from last week, after I washed it off. I have been waiting almost a month to pick it up (while the owner waited for his new Raptor to get delivered), so I had parts waiting in the garage and ready to install. I'll include the after pictures a bit later today, I plan on finishing the badge and trim removal, and hopefully getting most of the scratches out of the paint.
Parts list-
King Shocks-3" OEM coil over kit, 3.5" lift, 2.5 piggy back rear shocks.
KMC Bully 17" wheels
35" BFG All-Terrain tires
K&N Intake
Magnaflow exhaust
Trailer brake controller

Here are some pics with most of the work done, still lots of cleaning to do, but it's starting to look better. Can not express how well the King shocks ride- smoother, yet more controlled than stock. The tires are a bit big, but with minimal trimming they do not rub. IMG_3479.JPG IMG_3480.JPG IMG_3481.JPG

Currently working on the driver side trim removal. The trim pulls off easily, as well as the Silverado script. The adhesive left comes off easily as well with a 3M eraser wheel. Then its polish and buff. IMG_3478.JPG IMG_3482.JPG IMG_3476.JPG IMG_3483.JPG IMG_3484.JPG

Thanks guys-
Shock pictures as requested, the 3" bore shock is a prototype, so the body is not yet cad plated, hence the small rust ring. They will go in for plating after a few weeks on the road. The red knob is the adjuster for firmness.
As far as cost, sponsors can be really awesome.

Not a fan of the woodgrain interior trim, so I decided to try 3M wrap material to cover it. It covered well, and without much effort really. I'm not sure I like the black, but after seeing how smoothly the process went I might try a grained wrap, either in a silver/aluminum like the vents, or a charcoal brushed finish. I really like the look of the LT Tahoe interior, which matches the vents, but the replacement pieces are over 400.00. Thoughts? Thanks, and I really like the blue wheels on your truck. Bold choice, but nice to see something different. The shell is a must for me, makes the long trips comfortable for the dogs while keeping the fur out of the interior.

Lol, yea everyone told me I was nuts/stupid/dumb when I said I was going to do it, even the Powdercoat shop but it was something I thought of before even buying the truck, and really the only reason I went with a black truck. The buggy is blue, with neon yellow wheels which everyone as well said I was dumb to do but I absolutely love it. Can't live inside the box.

Very nice pre-runner too-that looks like a solid car. When it comes to the race team, it's all about getting noticed. The neon yellow/green/orange wheels and stripes have become popular again. I think the bright colors can work very well, when done tastefully.
