RPM RACING ENTERPRISES will be releasing the finalized 2017 rules for the Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker Enduro Presented by Nick Rose Insurance scheduled for October 28th very shortly. We will be going back to the original concept of the Parker Enduro - based on a 4 hour Enduro (rather than a 9 hour) and laps accrued rather than handicaps and with a single Le Mans start for all competitors. The vast majority of the individual class rules have not changed however some class rules have been modified for safety considerations.

We are hoping to release the rules shortly.

Sincerely,

Ross Wallach, Race Director

Good news on the overall winner if you don't cripple the faster boats with rules!

Safety is the primary concern here as if we have a big crash the party is basically over and that's what we're all trying to avoid. Last year I had 30 days to make the event happen and it did and safely. This year I and the rules comittee have been wrestling with how to insure long term viability and growth of the Enduro and it's clear that continuing to try to do the handicaps are not going to accomplish this. The decision to go back to the original Parker Enduro format was the only logical choice however safety considerations are at the forefront of that decision as well as the top speeds in formative years of the Enduro are no where close to what can be achieved today. There will be an overall top speed (110 mph) and it will be policed via GPS, etc. however it can't be a "free for all" as with that many boats on the water at the same time the likelyhood of an incident is imminent if we just turn our backs on safety. It's important to note that the emphasis will go to the Divisions and the majority of the purse will be divided by the classes (% by class). The overall is important but it's the divisions that will play an more important role moving forward.

We are working hard to make this Enduro a great event that will sustain for years to come and while not everyone may be happy we believe this will achieve our goal.

Sincerely,

Ross Wallach, Race Director

Does this mean War Canoe and a few other big outboards will be allowed to participate if they follow the rules?

Yes, it's a requirement that all participants must follow the rules.

if Randy's boat is allowed to run, which I think it should be, you need to let everybody else is run or you look inconsistent with your rulings and that makes an organization appear to be biased. We understand and appreciate Nordic's support and want to see as many boats on the water as possible. Thank you for stepping back in and keeping the Enduro going.

If that is the same motor that was on the back of Joe Abellera`s boat it should be fast like Joe was. I watched his in boat video and never saw him get passed.

Joe's engine was 350 HP...mine was on the dyno at 372.

My boat is ridiculously fast. In the race at Parker, Joe passed Bob Teague in the 1400 Hp GN 77 boat on a smooth straightaway. The DBR was an inch below the bottom, instead of 1 1/2 ABOVE THE BOTTOM as well. That is a little perspective of how fast the DBR engines run.

Enduro Race Teams:

We are less than 30 days away from the greatest endurance spectacle on the water - The 2017 Blue Water Resort & Casino Parker Enduro Presented by Nick Rose Insurance, Saturday, October 28th!

Pre-registration deadline is Sunday, October 15th, all entries received thereafter will be charged a late fee of $50. Please get your entries in!! Payment is NOT required to be pre-registered, only the paperwork is required to be considered pre-registered. Please fill out attached email if not done so already, save it to your file on your computer and email it back to me. No need to print, sign and scan and email back but you can if you like.

Addendum: Due to several calls and emails I've received regarding the rules, I have met with the rules committee and Chief Inspector and have attached the "Addendum to the Rules" which take effect immediately.

GPS: Many Div. IV through Div. VII teams have called regarding which GPS is recommended (these four Divisions are required to carry on-board GPS during the 2017 Parker Enduro) and the one that seems to be the best and most inexpspensive is the Garmin E-Trex 10 or most current Garmin E-Trex model. Remember, these can be fix mounted to the dash out of reach of the driver/observer. For those that are considering modifying their GPS, please note that we will have several radar guns on the course, per the rules, and if you are caught exceeding the 110 mph speed limit a 2 laps penalty deduction will be assessed so consider the consequences before attempting to modify your GPS.

Patrol Boats: We are always looking for patrol boats to help out with the Enduro. If you have a boat and want to get involved, please contact Ross at (310) 318- 4012 or [email protected]

Heading out early am tomorrow. Do the patrol boats need to pack a lunch for Saturday? Any specific thing we need to have on the boat? Just want to make sure I?m ready. Do we get a staff shirt or something?
