What's up guys, I've been lurking for a few years now and have only posted 10 times. I've been a river/lake rat my whole life. Grew up on a 24' Campbell cuddy cabin that my grandfather bought new in '79 (boat is still with the family and is used every year). My wife and I just recently purchase a beautiful 240 Hallett that many of you know well "YOPENGO'. John is a great guy and knows how to take care of a boat and we're lucky to have been able to buy it. We look forward to many many years with it and making new friends through RDP. We are originally from socal but just recently moved to Las Vegas from Laguna Niguel.

I don't post much either, I figure no one gives a shit about what I do (nor should they), but congrats on your new boat. As a fellow 240 owner, I think you have a perfect all around lake boat.

Sometime it's just fun to sit back and watch the show. Thanks man! I look forward to getting familiar with it!

How did the F150 tow the 240? Just bought a closed bow 240 and deciding on a new tow vehicle[emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

It pulls it well for a gas truck. The ecoboost is a pretty impressive engine.

New half ton Silverado or F150 properly equipped will pull and stop a 240 easy. We pulled or 270T with a z71 5.3 Tahoe for years. Just pulled a 335 with a new 5.3 Silverado. New half tons are as capable as 3/4 trucks from 5 years ago.

Welcome aboard RDP.
I saw John shortly after you picked it up from him. Half hour later I saw your truck and boat sitting at the Nautical. Let John know where it was in case he wanted it back...lol:p

Enjoy all that it affords your family:thumbup:

I have a 2012 F150 and love it. Pulls my 25' Eliminator Eagle with no problem. Also tows my 24' enclosed with a 3000 lb off road car and all of my crap with no issues.

Haha! Yea my wife and I were bummed we couldn't take it out. The wind was horrible. We'll be out memorial.

Speaking of John wanting it back. I forgot something for it at his house and after the nautical we went back, but I told John probably not a good idea that he be there when we come back because I wasn't selling it back to him. Haha
