496 mag engine falls flat

I have a 06 ultra 24 stealth with a 496 mag it was just serviced before last trip it runs great right off the trailer even a few laps on the lake after a couple of hours sitting take off again and motor goes into a limp mode when try to accelerate it just sputters after turning key off and on it resumes to normal power for a few minutes sometimes less or more time does anyone know of these issues or know of someone who has had these issues had it at the mechanic ran diagnostics no codes can't figure it out any advice would help thanks.

Check Spark Plugs and connections. Cheap to try that first.

Small stainless inline fuel filter is clogged .

Filter pad in the bottom of the "fuel module" , if the motor is that new .

Replace one of those filters .........
