Heading to Blythe with a friend and his new to him Peterson Placecraft... he mentions the bottle for the pop off is empty... Doh!
Anyone know a paintball shop or industrial gas supppy open tomorrow? Need air will travel.

I should be clear. Currently in Cabazon in route. Looking for a place between Blythe and as far as needles maybe BH.

how much do you need? I think I have a partial 20lb bottle at my house i Havasu and my son will be there if you can't find anything else.

So... bottled was never opened. Showing just over 1k lbs. in business.
Big thanks to mjc. We were ready to make the drive to Havasu and drain his air tank.

Maiden voyage.
645" Ford. Ethenol through a Fast system. Should be fun.

I'm a v-drive guy but that boat is one of the nicest looking jets ever built, guy that last had it posted some pic's from an auto show.

Stunning in every way. :thumbsup

That boat used to run around Needles area and a had a blown alcohol motor in it, I believe.

I remember him and Porters placecraft running around together up that way.

That boat is dialed and hauls the mail.

For the benefit of a boater who knows very little about hi-performance jet boats ---- what is this C02 powered Pop-Off you mention ?
Does it unload the pump to allow the engine to spin up -- similar to allowing a surface prop to ventilate ?

Really a nice looking ride, hell I'd run it for sure :thumbup:

Without going into a whole lot of detail it's a valve that blows off the excess bowl pressure in the jet preventing the boat from doing a nose dive and bow steering when running on the big end.

Here is what they look like mounted on the jet...

OK, thanks, like a jet boat version of a whirl-away :thumbsup

I've seen those mounted on drag-jets, but didn't see it in the other pics, so was thinking it might be something else entirely in this case.
