Looking for somebody that knows where I can get a reliable marine alternator. Mine quit working after 10 years of use and abuse. Bought a marine alternator from a guy (won't mention his name, because I want my money back and if I don't get my money back I will throw it through the front window of his shop LOL!!) and after 3 hours of hot rodding around Havasu this weekend it started to smell funny and quit working. Went to Napa,bought a automotive one and it work the rest of the weekend. I know it is not right, but is got us by. Anybody know somebody that can do a marine alternator correctly? I have a 1977 22ft Schiada V-drive with a blown big block chevy. The engine spins between 4500rpm and 6500rpm. It is a Delco 105 amp GM alternator. Any help would be great.
