I find hilarious after reading the Dallas Investment Club thread how many people are willing to throw out $5-20K to someone on a forum that they've never actually met. That tells me that people have a lot of expendable cash on their hands.

Now lets go back to 2009 when Obama took office. Half of you fuckers were damn near homeless. How many people would of offered up 5K for anything?

THANK YOU BARACK OBAMA!

You obviously didn't either if you lost it lol

See, what you don't understand, Grads, is that owning means you paid in full. Not when someone else carries the paper on it. When you own it free and clear nobody can take that away from you. Unfortunately you still haven't learned that the POTUS doesn't carry paper on any possession you've ever owned so blaming him for your problems just shows everyone on this board you still haven't learned your lesson.

Don't worry, myself and the rest of the middle class on this board will carry your ass on the next crash too [emoji106]

But what you don't understand is the fun factor. A quarter of a million dollar boat you have a loan on is lot more fun than a $5K jet boat owned outright. ;)

Now that deserves a :bowdown::bowdown:. Some boat dealers would have taken the cash and paid off old bills and built your boat on the next guys down payment. :eek

Bob doesn't play that. I spent a lot of time with him during the downturn while my boat was being built and was amazed at how he could have walked away with assets, but didn't.

I was honored to buy it from such a stand up man.:thumbsup

You know who says stuff like that?....People who don't have chump change.:lmao

You talk a lot of shit about other people's money, considering all of "your" money is someone else's money.

The difference between you and every other poster is, we've all busted our asses and earned every penny we have.

We don't wait for the checks to roll in from mommy, and pretend like what's hers is ours.

*crack* it's a deep drive to center field folks, that one is outta here, lol.... :p

I dunno, I'm sure Grads is just trolling like usual, but I don't think I'd go as far as thanking or blaming a president for what may be going at the time. There's more to it than just who may be sitting in the big chair. I always figured my level of prosperity or lack thereof is due to choices I have made, not anyone else. :cool

Well, I guess I would thank him for beating Hillary, that has made for some pretty good entertainment, lol... :D

When someone doesn't actually earn anything, but enjoys the largess provided by others, it's not surprising that he has no idea who's responsible for what he has.

Why not start a thread thanking his wife, who is the actual person who earns the food on his plate?

And not some far-off dear leader bestowing manna from on high?

Oh I get that & know what ya mean. I just figure he's running off at the keyboard like normal, stirring things up. I don't know if anyone takes him seriously(I sure don't), & I doubt that he cares either way, long as his allowance keeps rolling in. :p I tend to breeze over posts of that nature no matter who made them, usually not worth the effort, but your post/response made me chuckle since it cut to the chase so to speak. :D

OMG wow 😳 pull you're head out of the mud bud, the man was a socialist anti American, who did everything within his power to destabilize the country, but yea at same time the economy did rise, but that's simple Economics 101, when it falls it will rise when it rises it will fall. Simply look at anything in the market it's called flux. However when it rises yet again beyond sustainable growth it will then CRASH yet again.

Oh boo hoo, these posts cut deep,.........NOT! :lmao You guys obviously missed my last post in this thread yesterday ( http://www.riverdavesplace.com/forums/showthread.php?140744-This-Trophy-Husband-Life ) of my typical day. I woke up drank my coffee while I traded some stock, went paddle boarding, got a pedicure and had a king crab dinner. I lead such a pathetic life. :D I type this as I'm trading stock drinking my coffee. Have a great day at work guys, work extra hard today!:thumbsup

You sir truly are ignorant, no POTUS has control of the stock market or way people hide their money or spend their money.

I make a measly 100k a year and when the economy crashed in 08 was when I was the richest in my life because I believe in buy low sell high. Don't buy anything while the rest are buying sell when they are buying and buy when the common is selling or losing. But that was my choice not nor ever a president's choice or anyone else's

you know whats changed... I moved out of CA. I now own out right every thing I own and don't owe a dime to any one. Why? every thing I do costs a fraction of what it did in CA. permits that use to be 10k+ are now $2-300. what use to take 10+ inspections and many days wasted now take 2 or 3. truck registration is $43/2 years. in ca the same truck would be 500+/year. my insurance is less per quarter then it was per month. same policy with the same company.

I can walk into the gun store, throw them cash and walk out with any thing other then NFA, hell I can actually buy NFA weapons. by far the best thing I ever did was get out.

I don't know about that. I do alright and I have a bunch of "liberal" friends that make a lot more money than I do. I know it's easy to paint with a broad brush that argument just doesn't hold water.

No ashock you have lots of Liberal friends.:skull

Your point though is true. Social liberalism isn't about income and should not get lumped together.;)

was talking to a friend who owned 6 food places in Kalifornia and is down to 3 and is eventually going to 1 and probably gonna close that...

was telling me minimum wage raise is gonna put the nail in the coffin...

besides construction , housing flips and real estate keeping things going in Kalifornia , when that dries up watch out...

but people here on the boards strongly believe in higher taxes, permit fees, minimum wage and cost of business in general...:thumbsup

Im sorry that I might offend some people here ,but when public employees are making more than small business owners something is wrong???

Why?

Do you think starting a business should be some guarantee of success?

There are some public employees that are overpaid, ( And for the record padding salarys the last three years of work to boost retirements should be retroactively illegal...) but do you think firefighters don't deserve their checks. What aboutpeace officers and school teachers? Our military guys certainly should be given a bit more in return for service... By definition society puts the most critical functions in the public sector but yet you think some guy who owns a fast food joint deserves more???

Please explain...

maybe Im bias, but yes...

If they are gonna come after me via taxes and fees hell ya i disagree,,,

God bless them and I wish they make 500,000 dollars a year...

But when they are making 200k guaranteed a year health insurance, retirement and a small business owner is covering that , dam right I disagree...

I have news for you small business was the life blood of this country and state...

Now only the large corps are gonna be the only thing left...

see squueeze that right there is a socialistic state where there are only government employment and employees left...

please dont get me started Ive seen things with my own eyes and ears these last past 5 years where my city government has shown me whats really going on...

real life shit....

when you want to double my property taxes to fill in the gap I do have a problem. You put me out of business... get it???

see Squueze its really hard enough starting and keeping a small business going I know its not guaranteed , believe me...

but guess what they create jobs, which creates taxes which creates income which creates spending which creates other jobs...

get the idea...

jobs, jobs, jobs...

I speak personally when we employed 300 people at one point Squeeeze and you take out equity lines to cover payroll ,TAXES, and usual business stuff that is GUARANTEED...

and you know what its no longer open and employing 300 people and creating revenue for the state... get it...

go ahead pull out some graphs or study or thesis paper by some professor why Im wrong...

do it Squeeze come here in Kalifornia open a business and do it..

live it come on... live it... experience it...

not some paper study or graph ... live it cut the checks take out the loans ... live for your business 24/7

take the burden of having to look into employees/peoples eyes and pay then to put food on their table...
