Havasu Landing New Marina / Casino / Hotel Build

I realize there will be comments about the Indians.I have been here 10 years,no problems.It's our home now,gotta say on property we are fortunate enuff to own.Anyways a few pics of the progress as of today.I will add often.
The marina is completed,how they eventually handle the algae bloom going to be interesting.The structures were brought in,all modular.The infrastructure is about finished and ready for build.Many months of work.

The new marina is sick!!

I hope they are smart enough to put a couple decent restaurants in the big casino. If they do that will entirely change the landscape of Havasu!

Immediate South of Marina,lol,just dirt now,everything seems to be in and ready for build.Complete quarry operation has been set up & stocked for concrete & asphalt about 1/4 mile inland from road.

That's going to be impressive once completed.

I think they are like a year behind schedule. I will be more convinced when structures start going up. The marina does look very near completion though. Hopefully that area will get more attention once it's built.

There's been some talk about it at work. They have to up their non-existent FD staffing which means more positions at the river :thumbup:

I'm going to show my rookieness here. Is this north from the existing casino/marina about 3-4 hundred yards?

Got it! We were checking that out when we were down there for DS. They were doing all sorts of work over there.

Wow, how cool! Havasu is growing rapidly.

This seems to be moving faster then the riviera deal!

The FD might be under staffed,but non existant is the last thing most here would call them.A few people still here because of the fd,a few houses also.

Park manager has been telling me 49 rooms. Seems like an odd number. Casino employees not happy, they are losing their view!

The Casino looks nice, I have the plans as I am bidding the seismic work. I was told we would see building going up in June, they are way behind. It doesn't look like they will build the full hotel right now, they have a plan for an additional tower for the future.

Is the marina open to the lake? Does it have a breakwall or breakwater barrier of any kind?

Without some barrier or dogleg entry it looks like it will be susceptible to the lake swells etc??

Correct,seems about same as present marina.When built out could be improved.

All volunteer and it's becoming really difficult to find good volunteers to staff there and down at Big River. I know, I used to work out there often. I'm very familiar with the staffing in the area.

to offer suggestions for accommodations that would promote a BOAT RACING VENUE .

If we could get three races per year out on their property, the traffic would really help them pay for their improvements more quickly .

Does anyone know who to contact about their promotions and future ventures ?

Maybe a "Havasu Landing Cup, annual race"?

Could be reason slow progress.We even heard for a 200 rm hotel the FD would need a bigger ladder & additional Equip and like you say more staff.Doubt SB County wants any part of that.All rumor as usual.

Exactly what I was thinking too. I'd like to see about getting a ski race back there. We haven't raced there since 1987. If anyone has the contact info I would appreciate it as well.

Dave (last name escapes me) is the GM. He has park, campground, store, etc. Everything but the casino, I believe.
They just started a Spring Fling off road poker run. So I know they are willing to partner on things.

We will stop at office tomorrow get contact info.Like i said,been good for me here,but keep to myself.We mostly alone here,then on Thurs or Friday the boat show starts,incredible and the best of people .

Yes,dug some incredible holes,went deep,all backfilled compacted,see what happens now.Gotta believe it going forward,why all the work.Equipment running over there all day today.

Cool park. My old boss used to own the two trailers that were parallel to the waterline at the end of the trailer park. Some good times there with the jetboat.

I'm gonna guess this large platform may be the future shuttle dock, no idea if I'm right though.

Early this am (Sunday) Fire Truck was loaded on rig at firehouse.Anybody's guess what going on with that.
At the Marina & Casino site all week still Heavy Equip. activity,cutting future traffic areas on the site + Storm water conrol.Lost count of the truck loads of heavy rock coming in everyday.
