Newt has a good take on the the racist bigot groups. He talks on how Trump can't win with his critics also, but the message is about the groups themselves on both sides.
What I take from his comments and to elaborate on them, is the left has progressively become more outspoken and aggressive to change things in this country they do not like. In large part, don't understand as they have come from elsewhere of those here have developed different values from what for years was considered the norm of the majority of citizens. This is a topic unto itself and another discussion. They focus on the past they don't like nor understand.
Point being, the more open protesting and media coverage of such, has emboldened the sic asshole bigot groups to slither back into daylight and work on the platform leftist groups have demanded to be heard from. Extremists from different directions feeding off the gains of acknowledgement. The media vilifying Trump can't see themselves in large part as the reason the sleazy have been able to gain permits......They have encouraged protesters rather than questioned their motives and forced them to explain themselves.
Another lesson our press and many citizens fail learn from Europe. Germany tried to suppress Nazism but it snuck back in and now spreads around the world. Germany had the ability to wipe it out, yet failed.
Perhaps the media needs to reinvent itself and teach rather than scold. Newts last sentence says it rather well, "We ought to be a country focusing on the future,? Gingrich said, ?not a country frothing at the mouth about the past.?

"I think the gap in the country right now is that deep and that real,? he said. ?I think the people on the left have a radically different vision of America?s future than traditional Americans. And I think there?s a small element on the right ? which has been there for a long time ? which is genuinely crazy.
?And let me say this, as a historian, Nazism was an anti-Christian, totalitarian, anti-Semitic evil. Any person who tells you that they are a neo-Nazi is telling you they?re signing up for evil. And I think we have every right as a country to decide that we?ll do everything we can to make it impossible to have an effective Nazi movement in this country, just as we should have an effective anti-Ku Klux Klan movement, which is focused, in a way, against Americans.?
But, Gingrich argued, Trump has denounced racism before Saturday?s events.
?By the way, remember, it?s Donald Trump who, last year, in the campaign, repudiated David Duke, he repudiated the KKK and in his inaugural, he said ?all of us bleed the same color? and ?to be racist is to be un-American,?? Gingrich said.
?We ought to be a country focusing on the future,? Gingrich said, ?not a country frothing at the mouth about the past.?
