Just picked this beautiful, unmolested, original 20 Spectra in Muskegon Michigan. Anyone know the history of this boat?

Starting my winter project of pulling out the old Fiberglass tanks. I was lucky enough to get indoor storage in a pole barn to keep her out of the Michigan winter. I am planning on having custom aluminum ones fabricated using the old ones as templates. Before I have some custom ones made, does anyone have any for a spectra forsale perhaps?

Thank you Thank you! I'm having a place called Kehrig Manufacturing out in Michigan fab them up to pretty much the same dimensions as the glass ones. They should be starting on them soon so I can start glassing bulk heads in the spring. Also planning on running hard lines from the tanks to the filter. Anyone else do this on their boats?

I didn't hard line the fuel lines but used Teflon braided lines for all fuel from tank to filters to pump to carbs. I have seen a lot of hard line on boats but never on the tank, these things flex so would worry about snapping a line.

Everything I researched so far says that the braided hose, including the teflon, is NOT coast guard approved.
If you have seen something that says it is, i'm all on board.

I am appreciating Spectralens boat a lot more knowing just a little of what he went through working with all of that glass.

Tanks have been mock fitted and the bulk heads are glassed in. Seeing how much fun glassing is, full stringers maybe in my future in a few years.

Installed a new helm and cable. Uflex helms instructions say you must cut a stupid 3" hole in the Dash but Quicksilver gave me a better idea to avoid that. Machined an adapter plate to use the existing mount holes. I also machined my own steering wheel adapter hub and made a custom Spectra center cap.

Coming together nice, needs some carb adjustments but my steering works sweet and smooth now and installed some beige Faria Gauges that match Perfectly.

I never would have thought to match the beige with the gauges. That looks great!
