Assembled it to sell... Mamma wants a new Maverick X3, so out she goes. Needs electrical redone, but otherwise works great.

Cool little duner. VW Manx body. Partially restored with new cage, bumpers and nerf bars. Great paddles and wheels, awesome running 1776 motor that makes over 50 horsepower at the rear wheels. Looks tight and fits perfectly. All powdercoated metallic silver. Built new matching front and rear bumpers and nerf bars as well.

The wiring is intact, but not tidy. Should plug in and be good.

Will also come with a custom beam front end that has kingpin style ends, and a new set of 3x3 arms for it.
$5900 or best offer. I can deliver locally.

People are still putting away summer stuff and haven't quite took inventory of their winter stuff yet.

I think it's priced well. Give it more than a week.

A good thread about driving a convertible cross country while refusing to put the top up would probably help drive views to this thread. Just a thought... lol

It's a little rough for 6k. If it was a Manx it would be a good deal. A real Meyers Manx in that condition would be 7500 and up. Post it on Manx classifieds, and check out the manx club page.

Actually, it would be $12K and up if it was a real Manx. Most are well over $20K.

This is a Desert Fox, which is about the second most desirable of them... probably a 69 or so.

What do you think a good price would be? I paid $4K as kind of a roach back about seven years ago. It's MUCH nicer now.

San Diego, and I'm sure it could be. It's been a duner for a long time as near as I can tell. Has a special construction VIN from AZ... working on the title now.

Since you asked, I have some insight. My brother bought a plated AZ buggy and it was an absolute nightmare. 3 trips to DMV, one trip to referee, back to DMV, He paid 7500 for his and it's one of the nicest buggies I've seen.
I was in San Diego this weekend and fell into a very well done clone with a bus tranny, IRS, 2180 full cage, bikini top, extra set of wheels for sand. The guy wanted 6k for it and I told him it was an 8k buggy. He said all he wanted was 6k.
I put my buggy up on Craigslist for 5500 and had it sold in 48 hours. Mine is the black one pictured below.
I think the buggy listed here might fetch 3500.00
