Info on it?

Tan interior, not cloth, but I don't think leather. 5.3 112k? 20 in wheels, one river trip on new front tires. Ill put machining new rears on.

Runs good. I just want the bigger motor.

Same configuration as old schools interior. Middle buckets and rear bench.

Middle bench is a requirement.

You have any of the oil burn issues? Most 07/08's ended up having it.

Well alright then.

Middle bench? I've never seen a new one like that. Good luck on your search. The Yukons and Subs I've been in all had them. How else would you access the rear seats?

Both sides of the seat rock forward. Pull the lever and wah-la.

I looked at a nice one on Saturday. 4.8 with 3.23's. What a dog. Needed a country mile to reach 65 on the freeway.

So you step over the folded seat base to get in the back? Good luck with that. Awkward as fuck.

Wow, I cant believe they would actually install a 283 in a heavy turd like that. a 327 is bad enough.

Good luck with your search.

I don't know, I don't have a good answer for that. It doesn't seem to use oil worse than any other car I have. It needs oil, I put it in.

What are the issues? I thought the problems were with the cylinder deletes and the small motors don't have that, I don't think.

07/08 the more the engine runs in AFM mode oil consumption goes up. I have seen a few driven that at 100k had no traces. Didn't spend a whole lot of time in 4 cyl mode.

No no no. The whole seat and base just rock forward. It is very easy to get in and out.

293 is what a 4.8 is. 9mm less stroke than a 325 5.3.

Hmmm, do the 5.3s have that?

If so, I doubt the smaller engine spends that much time in 4cyl mode in a Yukon XL. ;)

They all had it starting in 07. Agree. My 08 Sierra with a 5.3 lifted on 3.42's never went into afm. 4.56's added and it was back to doing it. Tuned it out and it drove night and day better.

I just bought a 2001 3/4 ton 8.1L LT Suburban with lots of options I didnt realize they had in 01, Heated seats, on star, built in Phone, 2wd, AWD, 4hi 4lo. I have been real happy with it so far. Feels very solid and has plenty of power. It does have bench seats middle and rear. 38.5 gallon fuel tank.

Havent had a chance to tow the boat with it yet. Hopefully this weekend.
