Avi is really touting this event with some mega bilboards out on the Cali 95 and various entertainment inside.
Who'da thunk a boating event in Nov.
I like the RV park and the free RV parking is good too.
Tons of room for this.

DOLLY TRAILER BUILD FOR HORSEPOWER FEST RAFFLE

This year we are aiming to be next level in the aspects of Big Ticket Raffle items at Horsepower Fest.

We have decided to raffle off a Dolly Trailer this year at Horsepower Fest!

Michael Burks donated this trailer. It’s in rough condition. Brian Thompson volunteered to the task of getting it from Hemet to Pomona where the Back Door of MadSkillz Fabrication is located. This was a task because the trailer was missing wheels and the tongue was cut off at some point.

Nick Valore aka MadSkillz will be cutting this thing up and doing his magic to convert this to a Dolly Trailer. This trailer will then be raffled off at Horsepower Fest which is benefiting The Norona Effect, a local charity in the Lake Havasu area.

The trailer will be straightened out and rust ridden parts will be removed and replaced. When done, it will be complete with a new everything including coupler, floater bar, axles, spindles, bearings, hubs, leaf springs, u-bolts, hangers, shackles, tie plates, wheels, DOT tires, lights, wiring, paint, bunks, etc. This thing will be fully loaded and ready for the road. It will even have a swing away tongue and cut away in the rear so you can change your pump hardware easily. Bunks will be set up for a v-bottom style boat or compatible gullwing.

Attached to the build thread on our website are some of the pictures of how the trailer was when donated. Follow this thread for updates of this project – up to the winner of the Raffle.

The raffle will be at Horsepower Fest on November 4th, 2017 at the Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV. Tickets will be sold at a later determined price. Winner must be present to win.

A lot of the Super High HP Jet guys you meet run in the same circles as the Super High HP Roadster crowd.
Similar culture.
This event dovetails the two nicely.
They run with the rock crawler fans too.

We just spent a week at the Avi and it's really improved.
Nice beach and launch ramp.
It ain't the Bluewaters bad attitude and shit food.

Avi is the only edible buffet in Laughlin IMHO and at reasonable prices BTW. At one time was brutally bad.
Call booze if you play any amount at max bet and they ain't stingy.
Good game specials for MNF with $2 large drafts.
Excellent parking, free dry camping with good, free Wi Fi. Reasonable price 24 hr diesel and gas.
Most Avi's services have been contracted out to concessionaires and that was a huge improvement.
Just over the bridge is everything. Post Office, grocery, banks, fast food, Vato Zone, bars.

RV park has 50 Amp. Reservation electricity is the most reliable in the US, no brownouts.
