SXS Bar Hopping in Barstow

Spent a few days in DUMONT with some Glamis Dunes people.
This is their annual little kids to the little dunes trip.

Pulled out this morning headed to Barstow and pulled into the off road area off Outlet Center drive / aka the Slash X to some. Free dispersed camping. 14 day rule and dispersed means you can run your generator and blast your music all ya want.

Riding here is good and bad conditions.
The trails the big vehicles take are sunken with serious whoops.
The narrower bike and Rzr trails are pretty good.

For Thursday night football after a day of hitting the trails we took the X3 to Oggies Tavern. Trail leads right to it.
A San Diego based chain that’s not too bad. Full bar, nice draft selection and ok pizza.


For lunch we went to Chilis, the trail leads there too. Mediocre chain food with a new menu but a good bar with good service.

Back to camp for showers then stick my Harvey Weinstein into her Sharon Stone.

Bar hopping in Barstow?

Just how many bars are there to hop? 3?

Outlet center drive is not slash x, it's called Barstow main. Slash X is off of Barstow road/ highway 247 which is the back side of Stoddard Wells ohv riding area.

That was a concern getting gas and hitting the outlet stores and food but the locals says it’s cool.
They are all close to the trailhead.
Part of the trail is private property for sale so the route will change to above town and exit near the truck washes on the Lenwood side of town.
Another trail leads to the east side of town with some interesting food and drink places to stop.

Yeah if you read what I wrote I mentioned some call this the Slash X ( in the dirt forums) because the trails connect.
We call it Lenwood, formerly Rattlesnake rd. Camp.

Down to 5 SxS accessible that we knew of. Not all are in Lenwood. One closed recently but looks like it may re open under a different name eventually.

Idle Spurs and Slash X that's open Fri Sat Sunday.
Theirs another place a bartender recommended we may check out too. She said it's SxS accessible but I dunno. Don't want to get rolled with drinks in us.

For now these 2 and the Slash X will do.

Glamis is down to 1. The Duner diner. Technically called Gordons Well to those who it matters.
Last we heard the Beach Store Bar folded.

Idle Spurs is the place to eat. I miss that place.
