    50' of BadAss!! Nortech

I spent some time with the Florida Powerboat Club this past weekend during their Sanibel/Ft Myers poker run.
Pictures from the Fiday lunch run and some shoreline and raft-up shots on Saturday are Florida Powerboat Club Poker Run Weekend - a set on Flickr.

One of the runners was Nor-tech's latest-
a 50' Roadster with quad 1100's named Gold Rush.
In the case of this boat, pix are better than words:

I'll get some pics of the rear end of it next time I'm up at Nor-Tech.

This is Frank's second 50' Nor-Tech cat, so he is no stranger to the model. Warrior (pictured) was his previous toy.

Speaking of fuel consumption... I can't remember what size motors were in Extreme Exhibit,
but the story I heard was that he could run the boat for 45 minutes longer than it took him to fuel it up!

Here are a couple of pictures I found with the quad engine setup with #6 drives.

Quite true. Canada Thrust is a 50 Nor-Tech w/turbines and I have heard top speed numbers of 225.
I also know that the guy who had it built wound up trading it in because it was too much boat for his liking.

Lots of personal choices go into the purchase of a boat like this. Turbines are a very big step for a number of reasons.
