Looks killer:thumbsupIs it just me?Or is that expanse of white between the flames and checkers just screaming for a large Breadfan sticker?

I don't know what to say.. That boat is so pretty. You did an amazing job. I hope to see it on the water on day. Thank you so much for sharing. Your talent and drive shine brighter than that engine. Amazing.

Well I had a little problem with my intake valves
When I removed the rockers for winter I noticed the tip of the intake valves were worn where the roller tip
Touched
I pulled the engine and removed the heads, I sent the valves back to the
Manufacturer to see what happened

Well there was an isolated defect
So the supplier is paying to have
New valves installed and sending
Me new gaskets

I'm also adding a oil cooler
I wanted to run without one to see
If it needed one
I determined it needs it when I run it very hard the oil temp climbs up pretty fast

Thanks to Chris Straub for stepping up and making things right on the valve problem

What an amazing job you did! I had a few minutes to read, and ended up reading the entire thread. You have a gift when it comes to detail...thanks for sharing it.

By the way, I have a 1982 13' Daytona - It's a semi V with a transom stand-off plate for an outboard. Does anyone know what, if anything, it was called?
Daytona - ?

Just stumbled across this thread, and I just spent the last three hours of my life drooling all over myself and taking notes for my 19' Daytona rebuild.

Hey Outlaw, Can you describe the plumbing you did for the water. I'm new to jets and mine has the "household" water fittings which I think simply looks bad and I want to change it over to a more professional look. Sizing of the lines, make of the fittings and any other little hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry Warlock1 not on here very often lately
PM me your email and I'll gather all that info for you

I used .500 stainless hard line and swagelok fittings
I just rolled 80 hrs run time and the lines are still perfect
